Great wholesome books
I love that I can trust these books to be entertaining and wholesom. Too often kid characters are snotty. My 7 year old is just starting chapter books and he is doing very well with a touch of help. Chapters aren't long so he doesn't get fatigued as he is working at it.

Great books
My kids are enjoying these books. We read all of the Magic Treehouse Series together and we were looking for something else we would all enjoy. They are enjoying the adventures and the fact that the main characters are Christians.

Great chapter books for young readers!
The Imagination Station series is a fantastic one for young readers. Written well for the age range, great adventures, good character building "lessons" included. Each book takes a quick trip back in time with real life characters and exciting destinations. Meet Leif Erikson in Greenland, Telemachus the Monk and Emperor Honorius in Rome, and Marco Polo and Kublai Khan in China in this starter pack. We ended up checking out books from the library and learning more about these historic figures after reading the books in this series. I've given these books to first through third grade and these have been enjoyed by all. If you're looking for a substitute to the popular Magic School House books, this is it (and better written!). At the end of each book there is a puzzle of some kind and the reader can solve the puzzle, enter the answer on an Adventures in Odyssey website, and gain access to an audio story. It's an added bit of fun. One note is that the books should be read in order, as there is a "mystery" that our heroes are trying to solve.

Hooked!
What to say other than we LOVE this series! We are in the middle of book 2 and my 3 and 6 year old are absolutely captivated I enjoy reading it during our family reading time and love that I don't have to worry about whether the content is appropriate. I also appreciate that the authors have inserted Biblical values, which my boys have chatted about several time. FYI, even my 13 year old niece enjoyed reading this! Can't wait to read all the books!

My five year old is hooked
My daughter who is five reads like a 3rd or 4th grader. Finding content that is appropriate for a voracious reader that is five is tough. Her mind is sharp but her emotional maturity needs to be guarded for longer more mainstream kids books. She currently loves history and multi-cultural stories so these are perfect for her. These adventures are great for her and I believe would be enjoyable by most children through twelve. There is a Christian theme (it is written under the auspices of the Focus on the Family ministry in Colorado). Faith elements are threaded throughout the stories but it is done tastefully and does not feel like it is either obnoxiously proselytizing or just a miscellaneous plot device. We will be buying more from this series.

great first "chapter books"
my 6 year old was getting beyond the dr. seuss ... fairytales ... picture books and i was looking for a more challenging book with chapters but that would somehow keep his attention AND be wholesome. this is it! the chapters are short - like 4-5 pages, type is large. there are words he doesn't know and so he is learning a lot of new vocabulary as well as history! he goes early to school so he's been reading them on his own while he waits in the gym and that is how he finished the first book: on his own! blew this mama away!

We love this series and it was a great replacement for the Magic Tree House
Great story lines and we love the biblical perspective woven throughout the story lines. Reaffirming for the whole family and we enjoy these as read alouds. Leads to great discussions and we enjoy further research with library books. Highly recommend!

Good, clean books with a lovely historical aspect
Good, clean books with a lovely historical aspect. We have young, veracious readers so its difficult to find chapter books that aren't too mature for them yet. They are pretty easy, quick reads though. Our 6 year old finishes a few of these books in a couple days.
