Poems of François Villon: The Legacy, The Testament & Other Poems (English and French Edition)

A good rhymed translation of most of Villon's poetry
I've been reading Villon's Testament, going back and forth between this translation and Galway Kindell's. Kindell's version is not rhymed and is probably closer to the original Old French. Both are facing page translations making comparison possible at syntactic and word levels even if you don't know French. Peter Dale's rhymed version definitely adds something, especially for the Other Poems. If you know German, the translations of ballades that Bertolt Brecht uses in the Threepenny Opera are also worth a look.

My absolute favorite translation of a favorite poet
This is, in my (of course rather subjective) view, the most enjoyable English translation by far!--and you get the French alongside it!
