I was impressed by this powerful tool. This gas leak detector is a real lifesaver. It can quickly detect a wide range of combustible gases, providing an early warning that is critical to safety. The sensitivity and reliability of the device assured me that my home was protected from potential gas leaks.

The unit is compact and very easy to use. I tested it on “known” leaks and it worked perfectly. After a tour around the house checking the NG fireplace, stove, furnace, etc; I had peace of mind knowing these gas connections are working well. The display is colorful, but most importantly, it makes detection of leaks super easy.The instructions with the kit are simple and the gadget works well. The gooseneck “sniffer” adds extra length for those hot spots where troublesome gases could be hiding.Overall, a good value for the money. If it saves the cost of one trip from your gas supplier, auto mechanic, HVAC tech, or whomever, then it paid for itself.

I cannot give my opinion on its performance since it was not employed. It seems to me that the one I was sent was a previously used item. The screen and back of the unit was marred . I paid for a brand new unit, not a refurbished item. Two stars for now. Item has been returned. I'll rerate when I receive a brand new item and use it.

My wife and I travel often, what with grand kids scattered across the country and business trips every so often. On our last trip we heard a strange knocking coming from the heater in our room, sort of like a pilot light trying to relight itself every few seconds. We eventually turned off the heater and just endured, but when I saw this gas leak detector I jumped on it. No more not knowing what's going on with our room heaters!The device is simple to use: drop in the batteries, press the power button, wait 20 or so seconds while it calibrates itself, and then go to town! I tested it with my gas stove and my car in the garage. In both cases it took a few seconds for the meter to detect the gas flow, but once it did it alarmed until I shut down the gas source, at which point it went back to blessed silence. Perfect!The gas leak detector comes with a convenient case that can be clipped to your belt, or you can just drop the unit into a spare pocket of your travel backpack (as I did). The device is incredibly light, though the case is fabric and won't really protect the detector against any type of hard knocks. Since the detector is built out of plastic, you'll want to treat it a little carefully for any expectation of a long service life.In summary, it's a little awkward to wait while the detector calibrates itself after being turned on, and it's a little annoying that the detector takes several seconds before it actually detects any gas leak, but overall this is a fine unit that does what it says it can do. Recommended.

The reset function and peak function of this gas leak detector make it very reliable and easy to use. The rechargeable battery is also a plus.

This gas leak detector is definitely worth the investment. It's a high-quality tool that provides accurate results.
