This saved me. On my boat the boat extends beyond the end of the trailer, so I can't use the typical Transom Saver that connects to the trailer. I did not like going down the freeway or over a bump with just the little piece of metal on the motor itself. This goes right around the hydraulic silver rod and when you lower the motor, it gets a bunch of support from this. I have never seen one before, but it seems wonderful so far!

Easy to install and works as designed to stabilize the motor.

I used this for the first time today and it is very easy to use. It definitely beats having to bend down and insert the pin through a traditional transom saver that attaches to a trailer. You just run the motor up a little higher than normal and then lower it until the support is in place. It seems to be made well. It appears to be a very hard rubber. When you lower your motor though it will compress a good bit, but I think that is okay. It is definitely dense enough that there is no bouncing around. I think I will really like this product. However, this is not a transom saver. It will save your hydraulics by keeping the motor from bouncing, but it takes no stress off of the transom. For me, this is okay because I live 3 miles from the lake, so this is perfect for short trips. I probably would not use this for long trips, and especially if you are towing on rough roads. For my use, it is a very good product.
