Great Portuguese recipe book and loved by the person who got it for Christmas. The recipes are of gorgeous and real Portuguese food, the quality and pictures were very good and a good present for anyone, done!

Great book at great price

i like the the book and look forward to trying it out. good picturesand seems easy to follow instructions.

Portuguese cooking is often overlooked but is worth looking into.

Modern recipies based on traditional food. Easy to follow.

I was excited to open this book when it arrived, and flicked through it straight away, searching for recipes detailing the well-known dishes that visitors to Portugal fall in love with... to no avail. No Bacalhau a Bras, no Pasteis de Nata, no Caldo Verde. Big disappointment. However, to say this isn't a good recipe book wouldn't be fair - there are some excellent recipes and interpretations that have obviously been lovingly created and well-tested. So, my suggestion is to go ahead and buy if you want recipes that are a bit different from the norm, but look elsewhere if you want the essentials (my recommendation would be Nuno Mendes' Lisboeta).

Recipes just like how my (Portuguese) nan used to cook, as my kids get older I'm pleased that some heritage can be passed on.
