The Very Cranky Bear

I recently 'adopted' a black bear, through a wildlife organisation, for my three year old granddaughter, and wanted a book to accompany her soft toy. This is a very funny story about a hibernating bear who is repeatedly disturbed by other animals, but there is also a lesson to be learned. I was unable to find an informative book about black bears that was suitable for a small child, but she loves this story and it has made her more aware of the habits of bears.

A very funny story about a very cranky bear 🐻, great artwork and a lovely story. Adults will love to read this to their young ones.

I read this book to nursery children and had to buy it for my own child. A short story but the message surrounding the sheep character is lovely for young children to be empowered with.

My 2 year old son came home from child care talking about a "very cranky bear". In fact he never stopped talking about it, so we bought the book and now read it with him about 4 times a day. I've read some notes by the author and love the fact the illustration idea of a dressed up bear inspired the whole story. A beautiful and funny book for young children.
