Pay attention to the pattern!
Overall this is a very nice unit. The finish is a Very durable high gloss epoxy coating, in comparison to another unit I purchased here: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6TWKNA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which arrived with the coating chipped all over the place. These are reasonably easy to assemble, however, it should be noted in instructions, that this pattern is virtually seamless when you place each piece accordingly. I had to undo a few levels when I figured this out.The magnets are also nice and do help to keep doors closed. However it is virtually impossible to assemble and align everything perfectly, thus, some doors are difficult to keep shut/do not align with magnets. This kind of cheapens the look/feel of the unit, but it is still nice. These also seem to do a very nice job of keeping clothes fresher.I am giving this unit 3 stars, instead of five, due to issues with completed assembly, as well as a lack of clear instructions for proper assembly and what all parts are for.For instance, there is an alternative pair of feet which raise the unit off the floor (will update with photo) but not clearly explained. And there are other parts which did not seem necessary and it was impossible to discern from photo how to use. Also, unit is not so sturdy when making closet space. Perhaps the mystery pieces are intended to help with this, but, unfortunately, instructions were terrible and failed to make any sense of how to use these and they did seem to relate to using with closet. They really need to do a much better job with instructions.

Should have bought this months ago!
A fantastic purchase! Lots of tips below!!Pros: * Includes three bars to optionaly hang items (clothing if making a section taller, or even clipping puzzles or art supplies to hangers in regular cubbies) * Includes set of five hooks to hang something inside of a cubby (like necklaces or clothes-pinned gloves) or to hang on the outside (ike jump rope, dog leash, keys) * Includes cheap though appreciated magnetic fasteners for the doors! What a nice touch! * Includes fasteners to connect sets of doors together when utilizing taller cubbies or if just wanting to minimize the number of doors to open when searching for things. Clever! * Good quality compared to competition, saving money over similar plastic-encased metal grate shelves or wooden shelves * Use doors, or leave open--the more expensive but similar put-together-style metal shelves are sturdier, but don't come with doors and cost much more * Sturdy even without back panels attached * Customizeable in layout and cubby size * Easy to strengthen entire unit, or just individual shelves, by just using wood (or something similar) and cable tiesEasy to assemble if you have used these types of shelving before. Otherwise, you'll figure it out before long!! Hint: use cable ties to strengthen the connections, being sure you wrap around all shelf sections; for inner cubicles, wrap around four shelf sectionals while side and top/bottom cubicles wrap around one or two less sectionals each. Don't try to cable tie the doors!Perfect for a not overly rambunctious child to store cuddlies and plenty of not-incredibly-heavy toys--especially nice looking if allowing some closed cubbies below and some open shelves above. If I did not have plenty of wood to make shelving already, I would like this for my preschooler's toys or in the game room. Also perfect for clothing, linens, bathroom supplies, craft supplies, holiday decorations, etc. Not for tools, building blocks, as a food pantry, or for more than a few books here or there; feel free to store Magic Tree House, Dr. Seuss, or Murderous Maths but not more than just a couple Harry Potters or Steven Kings unless on the very bottom. If leaving any doors off for open cubby shelves to display photos or decorations, or if needing to strengthen a shelf for a little bit of a heavier toy or something, be sure to support that sectional by just cutting to fit some clearanced laminate flooring or something similar, or quarter inch floor underlay, or those cheapey 2' x 4' brown panels/dry erase panels/chalk board panels that the hardware stores sell for around ten bucks. Simply drill holes in the material and attach to the unit with cable ties.If you want wider side-by-side storage, put the unit together as intended but cut the film that separates the cubbies. This maintains the support needed for the shelves above, and prevents the shelf from bowing. If you want taller storage, just leave out a floor partition! In the next unit I buy, I will have a few 1x2 horizontal cubbies and a 2x2 cubby, which is how I initially set up my current unit before I decided to go ahead and utilize every cubby as design allows. For the 20 cubicle one, each cubby costs around $5, which is a comparable price to buying storage containers that stack up--but this looks better and allows easier access to contents. If you want, you can leave the back panels off of some or all of the cubbies, and use these as shelves inside the cubbies. Or, cable tie them together for additional, though smaller cubbies. If using as shelves inside the cubbies, just use something like twine or gardening wire, and hang it from the shelf edges above. I left all of my back pieces off and the unit was perfectly sturdy without them, even before I customized it.If you have cats, parrots, or just want a sturdy and protective top, go to the hardware store and look for the cheapest plywood or similar sheet of wood sold, then have them cut off a strip about 17" wide to place on top of your unit (fitting in between the edges, not overlapping the plastic connectors; if you want to overlap the connectors, add a couple of inches). You can also use planks--even fence planks or flooring sections side by side. This will save your unit from the animals while giving sturdy storage on top! You can just set it there, but it would be prudent to drill a couple of holes on either end then use cable ties to attach it to your cubbies, which keeps it in place for the animals while also strengthening the cubby unit. Use the excess to make shelves in your home somewhere, or to make a bottom as well which allows you to slide the unit around. If you have kitties, or dogs or toddlers that bang into furniture, I suggest covering the sides as well! You can use strips of linoleum as a simple protectant from cat scratching, but using excess plywood or a decorative wall panel on the sides adds durability to the unit. Encasing the unit is far cheaper than buying wood and hardware to build cubbies from scratch, adding modestly to the cost while allowing the unit to serve its function longer, and making moving the unit so easy! After moving a few months ago, I finally emptied my storage unit to save money, so spent a couple months' worth of storage facility rental money on these shelves as well as some plywood shelves installed over the doorway of the laundry room, hallway, and bathrooms in order to have a place to store stuff while I organize and downsize. These cubbies obviously look much better than cardboard boxes in the livingroom! I used decorative wall paneling I already have on the sides, then went ahead and encased the top, bottom, and even back using chip board, the cheapest paneling at the moment I went shopping; one panel covered the back, and one panel more than covered the other sides. I made an 18-unit piece to store behind the couch, in three rows of six, with the doors hinged like traditional cabinetry would do by having the "handles" of each set of two beside one another. Now this is protected from the pets, allows plenty of accessible storage, and is just one easy-to-move piece of furniture that I can even put in a moving truck as-is, by just tying the doors shut! Now that I know what it's like, I am buying another unit to put together the same way, and I will stack them rather than connect them together so I can move the units readily. The only difference is the bottom set is all separate cubbies, but I'll make larger cubbies in the new upper unit for items that don't fit in one section. Depending on how much stuff I still want to store away once I go through everything, I may even buy more cubbies and place them in front; I would just remove the doors from the current unit, leave off the back panels in the front unit, and attach the new set to the old with cable ties. This would allow deep storage, nicely hidden behind little cubby doors, and still not take up much space along one wall behind the couch. With six children, twice as many pets, and plenty of collectors and artists around here, we have plenty of stuff to fill the space!

Just don't
The media could not be loaded. I was trying to build it and it seems the instructions for English are buried in-between other languages. That's fine I found the english however, when I went to put it together that when the real trouble started. Well the panels listed in the instructions go A1 A2 and so on. First one is A2 (the longer panel see my photos for reference) gets four little connectors and for the sake of my review I will only do build directions for one square. The dividers are also A2 but they are rectangles so the small end obviously fits as I have a picture of how the instructional diagram wanted me to build it as well as a picture of how I followed the instructions and it still didn't work. Anyway if I tried to make it out of small squares it wouldn't work because there are only 16 small squares and I bought a 16 door/ square cabinet. No if I try to switch the divider panels to A1 it still doesn't work because A2 is a rectangle and the doors are square.TLDR; I bought this the panels came wrong and didn't match the instructions. Also I wish I hadn't waited so long to put it together have a fabulous morning/evening/night/holiday

Love the product
⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ Paint on bars does chip if you put it into the holders and have to remove them for any reason! Where ever you assemble make sure to sweep after if you have kids!I love the product but I was missing two 35x45 panels & 2 door panels which was a bummer but not something worth sending the whole product back for. (Would like them to be able to finish the two cubes)Not to found of the wood pattern. Could of made it more of light brown stripes vs gold.Bars that come with them are pretty decent quality.Holds together amazingly! Is sturdy I shook it around and it stayed together.Very maneuverable I assembled it in another room & then brought to its current location.Assembling is a little irritating since the instructions are in Chinese. I did like the little wooden hammer! That was cute & definitely helped with assembling.
