We purchased this meting mat because we have a significant problem with ice buildup by our front door. We decided to chance it and so great full for this invention. This thing melted the ice block in front of our front door in less than 24 hours. And that was with temperatures not getting above freezing! I am shocked. So far it has been extremely durable and believe it or not we actually have our metal grate that we use for clearing snow off our shoes on top of it. It immediately melts the snow under the grate and is very sturdy. This is seriously a game changer! I We are definitely considering on buying more. We have recommended it to our friends in the area as well. I highly recommend this item. I also love that as an on-off switch for the days that it's above freezing we can just shut it off. I haven't noticed a significant increase in our electrical bill either. Definitely a worthy investment

I was impressed with the feel of the surface and the thickness of the pad. I use this as a pathway to my hottub and not only does it get warm enough to prevent moisture from freezing it actually feels warm to the touch so it is comfortable to stand on while you towel off.. I haven't had any issues but will update if I do. I would buy it again in an instant

Worked very well until it did not. Bought two and daisy-chained together including weather proofing the connections. The second mat at end of the line still works. Died today which of course is the last day to return.

Great concept but poor performance.
