Way better than a genuine intel fan
Needed to replace the stock fan from intel, (had already gone through a batch of replacement clips). Was not sure about the company ThermalFly, but same day delivery (always a +plus) was offered so I got it. It snapped right in place, and is an actual 4 pin connector. Fan is quiet, all great attributes. One more positive, is not made in china like most of the junk on Amazon (made in Taiwan). Great product, Keep Taiwan Free!

Not worth it.
I just did a completely everything Brand New. I bought this fan to cool my cpu and when i got it i saw a very small amount of the thermal paste and in it's listing it can be used for the newest intel cpu 13th gen which is the LGA 1700 but i was on a tight budget on what i could afford and it's very true when it comes to the price of anything you get for the amount that you paid. So when i saw this cpu fan that fit's the LGA 1700 and 1200 i thought to myself this must be a powerful fan because it is listed for the LGA 1700 and 1200 and i use the 1200 because my intel is a 11th gen cpu paid almost $300 for the cpu. So i saw the small amount of the paste that it comes with and i strongly and highly recommend that you either add a little bit more or remove the paste because the amount that they put on it is not going to cove the cpu at all. So i finish my Mid-tower gaming desktop PC and when i am playing any game i always watch the cpu tem, cause i do not want to burn up my cpu. So i put in the cpu which should be one of the last items the you do when you are building your desktop mainly when you are going to be using it for online gaming so around 2 weeks later and the return date has passed i did everything by the book and this was not my first build i do this on the side anyways when i would play any game the cpu fan would run at full speed and it would stay that way until i turned off the game. So i'm like this fan should not be running at full speed so i started a game and how it in a smaller window so i could see the temperature of my cpu was running at and i did this on 4 other games and the temp, for the cpu was staying around 95c to 100c and 100c is 212F and i,m like what is going on so i started having problems with my cpu speed because of it running very hot for long periods of time so I DO NOT RECOMMEND to anyone to buy this fan to cool your cpu unless you are running a 7th gen cpu or lower but if you are building a high end gaming PC DO NOT BUY THIS FAN get a liquid or a cpu tower cooler with the copper pipes and them fins and do a push/pull setup. I hope this will help someone from buying this fan for there high end cpu.

Yes, it's inexpensive, cools my i7 but very noisy
Yes, it's inexpensive, cools my i7 but very noisy. Probably hard to criticize at the price since it does the job and easy to install. However, it is quite noisy even at low rpms. Might be OK if your computer case is kept closed (which I don't) I am very familar with these box fans. I have some that are loud but move a tremdous amount of air and I have some that still move decent air but you can't tell they are running unless you stick you finger in it. Might have to look at some other cooler or pull the one out off my old Dell. But this one is OK for now and can quickly knock down the temp of the i7.

Easy install!
Have an old Windows XP computer that started running very high CPU (Socket 775) temperatures. Original cooler was an Intel model that had functioned for many years, but CPU temperatures always ran a little high, and then spiked suddenly this past week. Fan was still running, but was not cooling adequately. Replaced it with this cooler. Fit the socket 775 perfectly, and was the easiest cooler installation I've ever done. Simple alignment and snap in. Cooler comes with thermal paste already installed. After installation, CPU is running cool again, and 30 degrees cooler than its previous average! Very pleased with this product.

Doesn't fit all LGA775
Bought this for an old Dell Core2 Duo system, didn't fit the proprietary mounting system.

NOT LGA775 Compatible
I have (admittedly very old) Nvidia NForce 680i SLI motherboard with an Intel Core 2 QX6700 CPU. (both the board & CPU are rated Intel socket 775) This cooler does not fit. I don't know where these magic slide rails are, but the pins on this have NO lateral movement, resulting in the pins being too short to reach any of the mounting holes. I had to find a genuine Intel stock cooler.
