I like that the first ingredient for this food is Chicken, and not even a chicken product by-product. A lot of budget options, don't really have the best ingredients, and the protein options are cheaper options. Chicken flavor is usually a pretty safe bet with cats too. I foster cats, and sometimes they won't eat fish, or other proteins like rabbit, but they almost always love Chicken. This is also a massive container of food. It's in a plastic container that's sealed airtight, so it ships really well.

I've been a customer of Hill's for quite some time now, and the quality of their dry cat food is good. My feline friends, however, have a strong preference for Hill's wet food. While the price of their products tends to be on the higher side, it's worth it for the peace of mind knowing I'm providing my cats with top-notch nutrition.So, why the 4-star rating, you might wonder? Well, it's mainly due to the container that comes with this particular purchase. You see, one of my cats has a knack for chewing on cat food bags, which is why I usually transfer the kibble to a designated storage container or stash the bags in a place he can't reach.I thought I'd found the perfect solution with this product, considering it comes with its own container. Unfortunately, the container isn't quite what I expected. It lacks a proper lid; instead, it has a thin layer of resealable plastic film on top. The material of the container is relatively soft, which means it's no match for a determined cat's teeth and claws. So, I still have to keep it out of her reach, defeating the purpose of the container's convenience.Moreover, the absence of a secure lid raises concerns about the longevity of the resealable plastic film and the potential for the food to spoil. I really wish the manufacturer would rethink the design of these convenient cat food containers.In the end, the quality of the cat food is impeccable, but the container leaves something to be desired. For now, I'm back to storing the kibble in a separate container as I've always done.

My cat, Priscilla, generally prefers lower quality foods. Most cats seem to be that way. I get the more quality foods, and they just won’t eat them. She was eating a midrange dry food and enjoying it. I wanted to try this cool pantry pack, so I figured we’d see how she likes this brand.She loves it. She is eating a whole serving at once rather than snacking on it throughout the day. Usually the dog will get in there and clean out her bowl for her. Poor dog hasn’t even gotten to try this food. Priscilla snarfs it down. It seems to sit well in her tummy because she hasn’t had any pukes or moodiness. If anything, she’s been in a better and far more cuddly mood with this food. Most of all, I like that she seems to really enjoy eating this food and it seems to be decently nutritious for her.The pantry pack is a nice packaging. The cube holds a lot of food, and it seals fresher than a bag. There is a lot of food in this pack, but it still fits securely on my small corner shelves that I keep the pet food on. The top is little hard to open, and I could see some people just ripping into it, so I wonder how much more it would be to add a more solid cover? Something like they already package litter in. That would make it even more fresh and secure (keeping pests out).

We moved to Hills Science when Royal Canin’s already high prices jumped even further. While also expensive, so far the only new negative is that our entitled, picky Fur Babies aren’t so happy with the switch. They eat it, but only as a last resort & seem to heavily rely on the Royal Canin wet food we still give them in the evening.

Cats love this food and it comes in a tight sealed container.
