Quality butyl tape
Thick, tenacious adhesion, easy to work around corners. This is a really good butyl weatherstrip

Worked like a charm.
I installed a roof vent on an enclosed trailer and used this to seal the roof. I’m happy with how everything went. I’ll be buying more.

Shipping container for this item matters.
The black butyl tape is used behind the mounting flange of my RVs windows. Early 80s unit with 40 year old window mountings needed a refresh. My RV supply shop in the area, but none that displayed black as an option. The product arrived in a timely manner and was as expected. Aside from one point of contention. It was sent in a bubble envelope.. This is a malleable item, used in specific spaces of construction. The product can be extremely sticky at moderate temperatures and deforms pretty easy. Mine was received shaped like a triangle, a bent triangle no less. While the over all strip contents stayed between it release paper, this will add labor and logistic to the intended use and could have been avoided with a inexpensive box for shipping. Product thickness is a advertised point of contention.

Perfect for installing travel trailer windows
Used to seal my travel trailer windows. Very easy to work with and creates a perfect seal. Not too runny or sticky like some of these can be.

Works fine
Removed window, peeled off old seal, applied new, and reinstalled window. We torqued the screws in stages, and it squished the butyl out on the outside. Once it was a consistent bead, I used an old credit card to trim the excess, while leaving a filet to avoid water collection in the gap. We've had 2 heavy rains since, and holds fine so far. We'll continue with other windows on our 2004 Endura Super C as needed.

Works
I used it on the corner of our camper under the metal rail that runs from top to bottom. One word of caution is not to use it in extreme temperatures because it will stick to your fingers like hot tar. I feel confident that it will provide a good seal against any water intrusion.
