Arroyable are a small family run firm based in Bermeo on the North Atlantic coast of Spain. They have been preserving bonito for over one hundred years. The Bonito Del Norte, is always caught locally off their coast from day boats. It has never been frozen. The Bermo fleet go a bit further afield in persuit of the Yellowfin tuna at the end of the summer season, when they follow the shoals back towards their breeding grounds in the Azores. All Arroyabe fish are line caught with live bait so there is no danger to dolphins. The Bonito won a Silver Great Taste Award.
