Not the best of it's kind
We couldn't get it apart to clean it but did see on other spice grinders that were of the same kind those ones could easily have the parts separated to clean. Works well but without being able to properly clean it's temporary and we wanted a more permanent spice grinder.

Looks like it is for stuff other than spices but works well on mustard seed.
I make my homemade mustard and was looking for a grinder that I could use just for that so I picked this up. It came packaged just fine, with no defects, as far as I could see. Getting it out you get the grinder, a glass vial, and a small spoon. I chuckled and though, oh this is not meant for spices but other things. Nevertheless, I used it for grinding my mustard seeds and it did a pretty good job. All in all, while this says it is a spice grinder it is meant to be used for something else, but hey it worked on my mustard seeds so I'm good with it.

Stay away from this
Was looking for a fine pepper grinder. This was a useless choice.
