Chewy, moist, flat cookies that taste kind of greasy
These are simple to make. I had to buy coconut oil and that's it. There are two packages that make about one dozen cookies each. I made one package with 1/4 cup of coconut oil, 1/4 cup of water, and one package of mix. Then I mixed it all together and scooped out 12 cookies onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. The cookies look like ping pong balls before they go in the oven. I decided to insert chocolate chips into the tops of half the cookies to add more flavor. I baked them for 14 minutes on 325 degrees. However, when they come out they are flat orbs as can be seen form the picture. The cookies were moist and chewy and kind of greasy. Both my boyfriend and I felt these tasted okay when warm but this is not something I would buy. I liked the results when I added the chips, although the chips do not melt at the temperature this is baked at. However, once the cookies cooled, we felt they tasted greasier. As a result, we threw them out after eating about two cookies each from the entire batch.Another thing I didn't like is that there are big chunks in the package that appear to be dried apple. It made the mix hard to distribute evenly.According to the package each baked cookie is around 110 calories. The mix itself is made of:- organic coconut palm sugar- organic dehydrated apples- cassava flour- organic coconut milk (coconut milk and water)- almond flour- maple syrup- arrowroot flour- vanilla (extractive of vanilla bean, water, and alcohol)- Himalayan pink sea salt

The results were better than I expected
To be honest, my expectations for these were low. I don't normally eat a gluten-free, vegan diet. The results were better than I expected. With chocolate chips added, they're pretty tasty. They were also very easy to make, and having a basic mix on hand is a good idea.On the downside, the unbaked batter looks very unattractive--so much so that my teen daughter refused to try the finished product. The finished cookies have an extremely soft, crumbly texture that falls apart if you even look at them. And the cookies leave an odd after-feel in the mouth. The verdict? If you need to follow a gluten-free diet, these might make a great option. But if you can eat gluten, I'd recommend choosing a more traditional mix or recipe instead.

Not for us, too soft and too bland tasting
Okay, give me a large cookie of any kind and I am happy. Now that I am 'older', I do try to eat healthier so I got these KITCHUN cookies thinking I was going to do just that. Not so much.I had some coconut oil on hand, but the cookies were just too soft and kind of bland. My husband who loves just about any kind of food, took one bite and put the cookie back. I, who hate to waste anything, did the same. Just, no. Not at all what I expected. And, I even put the oven on despite triple digit temps outside to bake them expecting a real treat. Didn't happen.Maybe it was just us and maybe we don't appreciate really healthy foods, but I would not make them again. Sorry :(

Good when doctored up, but Simple Mills cookies are cheaper and tastier.
These are ok as is. I doctored them up a bit ad they turned out great. I added 2 tbls. unflavored whey powder (to counter oiliness), nutmeg and vanilla (they were bland), and 2 tbls. egg white to help with binding. After that they are actually perfect! So if you find yourself with an order of these and don't like how they turn out, you may be pleased with these additions. I also refrigerated the dough until chilled so they didn't spread so flat so quickly.I took off one star for needing so much help, I like Simple Mills cookie mix better and it doesn't need anything more than stated on the box. I took off another star for being quite pricey, Simple Mills are currently half the price. I like Simple Mills better and they also have muffin, cake, and bread mixes that are grain-free. You can get them hereĀ Simple Mills Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, 9.4 Ounce

Not really all that good of a cookie.
I am a huge cookie fan. If given a choice - a good chocolate chip cookie is my go-to dessert. So I was pretty excited to try these out. For the first pack I followed the instructions to the T and ended up with things that looked like cookies. When I ate them however they weren't the good cookies I was looking for. They almost seemed like "diet cookies" or something. They were extremely greasy which is odd in a cookie that I didn't add any butter to, I assume its the coconut oil. When baked these tasted like the cookies your friend who can't cook makes. Or the crazy aunt/grandma that tells you to "scrape the burnt off the bottom." They just weren't cookies that made me smile. Due to the high level of greasiness they also don't stay in cookie form all that well. They kind of ooze apart - but not in that good "soft gooey cookie" way - more of the "glue isn't going to keep those two things together" way.I think it was perhaps the sort of cardboard aftertaste that sealed the deal.So the second bag I tried to doctor into chocolate pancakes - this was a failure of epic proportions. Do NOT try to make these into pancakes. It does not work. AT ALL. I may have to replace the pan from the attempt. So in the end - if you have some sort of dietary restriction that makes these the only source of cookie you can eat - they will make cookies. But they won't be as good as if you just bought the break and bake toll house from the grocery store and they won't come anywhere close to a cookie made from scratch.
