We needed to separate our caravan kitchen, but I couldn't secure the Hauck gate properly. As a solution, I bought these 'Y' fittings, although they were too long. I cut off a few cm using a hacksaw, and they now fit brilliantly and don't damage the units that they press against.

Bought it to stop my puppies going upstairs. Easy to install, no drilling, fixes to wall with pressure cups. The Y rods fix it securely to the spindles on the bannister. Easy to operate.

Works but I'd prefer it if the fixing was a bit longer and therefore more secure. Also a more user friendly tightening mechanism would be better.

I was so relieved to find this product works as I didn't know how I would get a stair gate to work on my banisters which are curved where the fixtures meet them. Great price too

Needed a gate at an angle but didn't want to screw into my new kitchen units. Was very pleased to find these which meant I could still use a pressure fit gate. Only just fitted it so not sure about durability but will soon see.

They are necessary. Buy them if you have a curved/ cylindrical pillar for the staircase. The gate holds very securely when these are used, as opposed to when not (it keeps slipping).
