This is a great gift for any young man or even adults. to learn about how the sea works. Watching the five shrimp swim around in the morning is great !!👍🏻

The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this at other times in the past. I love it because I’m lazy. My cat finds it entertaining. The one I received this time had more plants and animals than I’ve had in the past. I look forward to reordering in 3 or so years.On a brighter note…. I think it’s a good educational opportunity.

4th UPDATE: if you have read my below updates you will see why I'm so frustrated and disgusted. They finally sent me a replacement and unbelievably, that one is absolutely full of algae also after two months. The quality of these is absolutely not the quality that it used to be when this was called ecosphere. Do not waste your money.3rd update: it took literally months but this company finally replaced my sphere that became overgrown with algae. They said that my sphere had a bad batch of salt. I had to be pretty relentless with them but they did finally send me a new one thank goodness.2nd UPDATE: Well, after numerous communications back-and-forth with this company I am now thoroughly disgusted. As they've requested I have sent them numerous videos showing the algae growth inside the sphere. As mentioned earlier, this sphere has never been indirect sunlight but the algae started growing out of control shortly after I received it. I'm now down to only one shrimp left and I've only had it seven months. They keep promising to resolve the problem and they are supposedly working with their home office in Germany. They now have just simply blown me off. I would never buy from this company again.UPDATE: shortly after receiving it, it started to grow algae like nobody's business and two shrimp died. I did my research before purchasing it so I knew it should not ever be in direct sunlight which it never was. I've been in contact with the company and have sent them some videos. I'm hoping they will do right by me and replace it. I will update this review after this comes to a conclusion.My sister-in-law purchased one of these 10 years ago. It still has two shrimp alive and kicking. I ordered this one recently and it's really cute. I purchased a separate little stand for it which makes it look better I think. For the first 10 days I counted three shrimp every day. Then to my surprise on the 11th day, there are actually four little shrimp inside. I'm hoping I have the same luck with mine as my sister-in-law and many others have. Talk about the perfect pet.

I love my shrimps!!! I got four with mine. It was well packaged and arrived quickly. They seem very happy in my office. It’s so nice to have some life in my office without having to worry about taking care of it. My patients love to check in on them!

Cool for a little bit, but there was too much algae in it when it came to me. I left it in the dark for quite a bit and the algae was still out of control. All the shrimp died after about a year.

I don't normally leave reviews, but I had to leave one because this is such a cool little world! A friend told me about these spheres and I am so glad I decided to get one and give it a try. The item came well packaged, and I got three shrimp in mine. Very sleek looking, and convenient since you just have to find the right place to sit it and not worry about cleaning or feeding or daily care. The perfect little pets! The shrimp are active and fun to watch. Each day the kids and I watch them play a bit and it's just so neat to have them here in their little world, and a part of ours too! I am happy with this purchase and think it'd be a great gift for someone also. Especially an elderly family member or friends and family with young children, since it provides a lot of joy and not a lot of obligation. Very cool product!

The product itself it very high quality and clear, and arrived perfectly.Around 2 months in one of the shrimp died and another one may be dead. They have a very good return policy, so I do not mind having to replace mine.If you don’t want to bother with maybe needing to replace yours, I wouldn’t recommend buying this. Otherwise, it is a very high quality product.

I got this gift for my daughter for her birthday and she loved it! She had won several years ago and all the shrimp had died. So I decided to get her another one, and to her surprise, she actually got five shrimp in her ecosphere! Great gift.
