Ostry, you almost hit the mark.
I have quite the affinity for Ostry products. I started with the KC06 a few years back as they ergonomically looked to be the best fit for me. I was right. Ostry was the only company who had made iems that fit in my ears and stayed there. without being uncomfortable. The KC06a is also great, but i prefered the signature of the KC06, when the KC09 showed up I bought them immediately. I can say that they solved the durability problem entirely with the removable cable. I replaced mine with one which has an angled jack and in in-line remote. I suppose you could use an mmcx cable that is bluetooth, if you wished. This feature is great! The one thing that bugged me was the sound signature. I got used to the hot mids in the KC06, and similarly with the KC06a. The KC09 have a lesser spike, but in a place towards the treble which got om my nerves personally. The overall sound quality is pretty good. I would say price/performance their lower-tier iems wipe the floor. I think the KC09 does have something special, though. Certain songs could be goosebump worthy, when in other audio equipment tests, they haven't been. These are a good showing from Ostry. They just don't quite tickle me the right way.
