great in low light
I read user reviews and it is everything I expected and more. you need to know how to manually focus... focus peaking helps. Magic rendering of low f stop values, great in low light. Rare and amazing communication and customer care by supplier Hawks Photo Video....thank you so much for a very speedy service.

love it!
Beautiful lens, well built and very smooth rings. It's heavy but built like a tank as others have described. Perfect for GH5 and will work well paired with the 17.5mm for a cinematic prime set.

One of the Best Cinematic Lenses there is!
It’s manual focus but partnered with the Lumix GH5’s focus peaking! It’s a combination to behold!

Wonderful
I have the 25 and the 42.5. Both are fantastic lenses. I am quite happy with the image quality at f0.95. Lovely to use and easy to focus using either focus peaking or magnifying. They are heavy but imagine what a 50mm or 85mm 0.95 would weigh for a DSLR! Beautifully made. If you want m43 photos that stand out from the crowd then you need these lenses.Below is one shot taken with kit lens: 1/8 sec at 5.6 iso 3200 - and Nokton 42.5: 1/80 sec at f0.95 iso 1600.

Such an awesome lens
Purchased a few months ago, I also own the Voigtlander Nokton 17.5mm. I shoot exclusively with an Olympus Pen F camera. I'm new to manual focus lenses - as long as you have focus peaking, it is very easy to use. I have a 1 year old that I have no problem taking pictures of, and he moves fast.I really like the DOF and color rendering - the photos almost look "surreal." The lens has some weight behind it that takes a little bit of getting used to. Seems like the lens is built to last forever. If you're debating between the 17.5mm and 42.5mm, I would definitely go with the 17.5mm if you were only buying one of the Voigtlander lenses. It's more versatile. I use my 17.5mm more than the 42.5mm.
