I had a TV output go to my computer/Soundcard and well, if you also look at on line content you need to turn down the TV. All that can be accomplished by sound setting on the computer but if you just want to kill a few commercials I now can turn the TV down quickly without going through computer settings. The device is build well and sits between the TV and computer solving my problem.

I've meant to write a review a while ago because there is some important information you need to know.There are some people who state that the volume does not go up uniformly. I had this issue at first. After a few days of use, and it being in my car(where I use it), the volume knob now works properly, going up full turn, and not full volume half turn.My "suspicion" is that usually volume knobs have a gel inside to lubricate the metal contacts that act as a current limiter. usually it not a problem but, the gel maybe thick, causing it not to work as intended until it scraps off while using it.In short, leave it in the car for at least 2 days while it's hot, and that should do the trick.

As you can see in the photo, this thing is indeed tiny. There are two rubber pads on the bottom which cover screws that hold the case together. I wanted to use double sided tape on the bottom so I removed the rubber pads, and seeing the screws, removed them as well just to see the build quality. Inside is a bit peculiar, as if someone soldered it in their lap while watching TV and eating popcorn. The head of the phillips screw on the far left was stripped as well, so I left it alone. The outside is very nice and it functions perfectly as a volume control. One star off for the inside, which I guess really doesn't matter.

Beautifully made, metal not cheap plastic. BUT – for starters, it came with no instructions. I've been a musician a very looooong time, so I was certain I could figure it out myself. It's a simple device and there are only two possible ways to hook-up. I attempted to use it as an interface between music on my iPad and an Bose L1 amplifier. I hooked up the way I assumed it should have been hooked-up, with the input on the left and output on the right. Volume increased thru the first 45 degrees of turn, but remained the same for the remaining 270 degrees or so, rendering the device somewhere between useless and impractical. Hooked-up the other way, for some reason it more or less zeroed-out with the dial pointed in the middle, but went to full volume turned to the left or the right. In short – too late, I know – it was useless for the application I needed. Such a shame, because it was beautifully made.

Exactly what I was looking for. Used it in my side by side. Very sturdy not a cheap plastic.

パソコンからイヤホンジャックを二股に分けて二種類のアンプ内臓スピーカーから音を出していますが、片方が音量調節できないので、パソコンの音量を調整して、その後ボリューム操作可能な方の音量を調節していましたが、この商品を接続して、アナログで細かい調整ができ音量調節が快適になりました。少し高額かなとも思いますが、質感も良く満足しています。一つマイナスは音量を最小0にした時だけ何故かノイズが出ます。私の場合は0にすることはないので、実用的には問題ありません。

音量調整ができるし、スタイリッシュなデザインは好みです。ただ、音が劣化します。奥行きがなくなったり、軽い音になったりします。残念ですが使いません。
