best for plates
I tried these with dinner plates, luncheon plates, dessert plates and cereal bowls. The bowls were sort-of a fail...they were tough to get back out one at a time, which was not an issue with the plates. There is a rubbery material on the two cross pieces that the dishes sit on which protects them from chipping or just banging around. The ends come up quite high, which is great for keeping large dinner plates from toppling over. These are large enough that I can get all 24 of my plates in one, but I do have basic Corelle. Thicker ceramic plates would take up more space.I use these in my cupboards to store dinnerware, but the paint on them is good and should protect them from water if you do choose to use them as drying racks.

Sleek look for cabinets or open shelves
I used these to make better use of space in a cabinet. The triangular design is very sleek, and they hold a number of larger dinner plates comfortably. They would look good displayed in open shelving, too.

Ok
These work pretty well but it didn't fit as many plates as I'd like. I also think they work better for smaller plates. Definitely overpriced though - I'd like to see them around $10.

Lightly padded, best for dessert plates
These plate holders would be awesome if the were just a bit shorter. They don’t fit in the cabinet when stacked with dinner plates without rearranging the shelves. Smaller plates fit well. We’re moving soon and I’m hoping they’ll fit in a drawer with my dinner plates. If they do, I’ll update with pics. They’re solid metal and cannot be adjusted in any way. There is adequate padding where the plates sit for protection of your more delicate dinnerware.

Only smaller plates fit.
The Hikinlichi 2 Pack Large Triangle Plate Holders are a nice idea but they do not hold anything larger than a salad plate or a shallow bowl. My dinner plates would not fit.If you stack your dishes in the Hikinlichi 2 Pack Large Triangle Plate Holders on a countertop no problem but dinner plates did not fit in cupboard in them. There is no assembly needed and they are sturdy.I feel they are over priced at 2 for $17.99.

Great plate holders--
I got the triangle plate holders to test out against the square framed plate holders that I got from Yamazaki-- and by far I loves these triangles way more. For some reason the triangle plate holders seem better at holding all the different plate shapes I have.I have 10" square plates, 6" square plates, 12" round that are borderline bowls, 4" round, and 6" round, as well as 6" round with a definite lip on the plate. Every one of these shapes fits nicely into the triangle holder. The amount of plates it will hold will vary with the thickness of the plate -- but I can fit 8 standard round salad plates. If you have open shelving, these are a nice way to spice up the look of your dishwater.

Holds quite a few plates
This plate holder works as intended! It holds more plates than I was expecting. I got 8 full size dinner plates to fit in one holder and my dinner plates are on the thicker side, so with thinner plates you could probably fit even more. Since this pack includes two holders it makes it easy to store lots of of ages of all sizes. I did find that since this stand is slightly elevated my dinner plates did not fit into my cabinets with the stand, they were too tall. These will work for my smaller dessert and salad plates, but if you intend on storing dinner plates in this manner, you may need to measure your cabinet space just to be safe. The holders themselves seem to be fairly sturdy and good quality.
