The Latest Ordnance Survey London Map south of the Thames
This is as up-to-date as you can get from the Ordnance Survey, published in late 2015.If you're not a Londoner like me and visit the Capital as a tourist, normally all you end up with are the tiny maps in guides that only focus on the, well, touristy bits. You get no scope as to how the general urban landscape lies, or how different places that you've heard of but not been to fit into the Metropolis as a whole. For example, what exactly IS there west of Waterloo station, or south of Lambeth??This map covers areas south of the Thames, from Southall (in the far top left corner - this part is actually south of the Thames, as it curves southwards at this point)) to the O2 Area, in the top right corner. Bottom left is Cobham and lower right is New Addington, in the countryside of the North Downs. If you're driving then you're more likely to use a SatNav and if visiting a museum in the centre, a street map. This 1:25,000 is best suited to us more traditional types, who love maps and ones which show contour lines, woods, traditional symbols and footpaths, such the Thames path. You'd more as likely use it for planning a journey/walk/cycle ride, in conjunction with other maps and devices, but mine also came with a code for a mobile download, which I have yet to try.I also bought the latest accompanying 'London North', published at the same time. That does exactly as it is described!

Needs larger scale for London
Ordnance Survey maps are still the best. However for London they need a greater scale 1:10k? to cover the roads and pathways.
