Use these regularly to spatchcock whole chickens before BBQs, they are just the job. Sturdy, easy to use and clean and they go through bone like butter! A little wobbly on the pivot, but if held right this is not a problem.

These shears are perfectly ok for occasional use, for the price ? Very good.. certainly easier than wrestling with a raw chicken and a knife and cut the cost of band-aids and filling the swear box. I've also found them to be good for cutting small raw bones in belly pork or lamb ribs. MUST be kept away from children as they could cause real damage as can any sharp instrument, but they look so tempting to young eyes and if the kids see how well they cut a chicken they'll want a try as well. Use them in secret,,,,,,, it doubles the pleasure ! ! !

These shears cut meat and small bones effortlessly. They also make short work of those annoying plastic bubble packages that things come packaged in - you know, the sort of packing that needs a blowtorch to get them open. They are almost brutal in their ability to chop and slice. Keep your fingers out of the way! Just joking - a great product.

Sharp, sturdy and an excellent tool for the money. You could spend a lot more and probably get a better blade etc but I havent found any problems with these so am more than happy to recommend them and Masterclass products on the whole.

These shears look and feel very sturdy, so I was very surprised when they broke on first use. And I wasn't spatch-cocking a healthy organic bird with strong thick bones, I was only trying to cut a turkey leg tendon!Rather than the pivot rivet shearing off, which is where I would expect a problem (and have had a problem with flimsy scissors in the past), the metal tang snapped through the plastic handle, shattering it. The tang was very short, which would have created a shearing force in the handle rather than in the pivot, and I suspect this is the root cause of the problem.Other reviews point to a similar problem, so I'm inclined to conclude that it's a design flaw rather than an unluckily one-off weak handle.

Ergonomically designed and handles/cutting action suitable for older person who I purchased them for. Makes quick work of quartering chickens.

Well made, robust and cuts through chicken bone with ease, a tad expensive against other scissors of this type but a really good product.
