Stormsure Flexible Repair Adhesive 28g Black

Since I discovered this stuff I’ve salvaged numerous items which would otherwise have been thrown out and cost a lot to replace. It’s flexible, relatively easy to use and while not cheap it’s a lot cheaper than replacing things s for the sake of a little split or rip. I don’t seem to get on with the tape, maybe because most things I use it on aren’t a flat surface but the liquid is brilliant for a range of disabled living aids and other household items. I buy the small tubes for the small jobs as this bigger one can cure in the tube leading to wastage but I keep one of them too for bigger jobs. The big one especially keeps much better if stored in the freezer between uses.

My much-loved old wellies sprang a leak. This fixed it. Pretty easy to use. Now I've got to work out what to do with the other 27.5g of the stuff.

I needed to repair two things. My electric alternating pressure mattress that my doggie has put her claws through several times during lockdown. I now realise how much I love my doggie groomer and need her to restart work badly! I also needed to repair a 2” rip in a raised air bed.It’s black glue which comes in a tube. I didn't mind the colour as long as it worked.It squeezes out of the tube easily but you do need something to spread it a bit. It’s touch dry in a few hours or completely dry in 12. That’s the only downside although it says you can reduce the curing time by adding a little water. I left it as it is. 12 hours later the rip in the flocked air bed is as good as new and 6 holes in my mattress repaired.I tried all sorts from repair patches to gorilla tape. I also tried patches with separate glue which worked initially but they’re starting to peel now. This is the only thing that has worked so far. I’m impressed with such a good repair I’d buy it again for sure.

My hunter wellies heels had worn down so I used this to rebuild them. Worked a treat!

Bought this to do a quick repair on my rubber Muck Boots. They were letting in small amounts of water on one join. The Stormsure was relatively easy to use and did the job perfectly. I can trudge round wet, muddy fields and my feet stay dry. Brilliant stuff...

I opened the brand new tube by piercing the seal using the end of the cap. The contents were like a rubbery black bit of bubble gum but not even as sticky as that. As for sticking, repairing, strengthening shoes, boots or waders as advertised it was hopeless. You could pull a long stringy bit of it out the end of the tube with your fingers and then simply rub it off them into a ball. It never stuck the sole on my boots at all even after following the instructions of washing with soapy water and then alcohol spirit, then drying. Maybe the tube I got was very old stock but it still had the seal intact when it arrived but there is an impressed code at the folded end of the tube 201310 so maybe by now in Dec2017 it is four years old and well past it. Who knows but I am sending it back under Amazon's marvellous returns policy.Stormsure is nothing like as sticky as the Freesole Urethane Rubber glue by McNett I bought to compare the two, with the intention of using the better product to repair my boots.. Freesole really was sticky and you needed to use disposable gloves when using it and I am using that for my repair and it has so far gone really well.

I used this to and put a complete new valve on my lay-z-spa inner lid (which I choped off a zogs arm band) and fixed a smaller hole this has worked amazing, the lid stays inflated perfect make sure you let it set for the full 12hours

My youngest son found an ANCIENT wax jacket in a charity shop in the Scottish Borders, which he thought that I’d love???? It really had seen far better days! I had to use a great deal of this product, but I have to say that it did the job superbly well! After the jacket was waxed, it came up a treat, and you could hardly see the repairs at all!
