Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (PC CD)

I managed to finish the first 2 Harry Potter games over a period of months (I am not an expert gamer) and I thought they were great. However, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban only landed on my doormat less than a week ago and I've finished it already and so has my 7-year-old (who has not managed to finish the first 2 games yet). I find the easy level of the game disappointing. The third game is FAR easier than the other 2 and seems to be pitched at 6-7 year-olds whereas the books are aimed at much older children - where's the sense in that? One very frustrating aspect in this new game is that after finishing a challenge or quest you are OFTEN forced, by a cut scene, to enter another challenge. I wanted to go off exploring around Hogwarts more and have the chance to buy things more frequently rather than being led by the nose so much. This all meant the game finished much sooner than I would have liked. The final exams are the worst example of that - on finishing each exam you HAVE to go on immediately to the next one and then after the last exam you get a cut scene and the games ends!!! I was left feeling cheated and frustrated. Another point is that when I installed the game on my son's computer which has an older graphics card (with the latest driver) and Windows 98 the graphics were not brilliant. Having said all that, the hoppy rabbits and mini dragons are great fun and the extra collectables and new spells are excellent. I am still glad we bought the game .... just.

This game has a lot of good points but....First the good. All the familiar locations are here and as usual it has the atmosphere of the book and film. A nice balance of old and new where spells and enemies are concerned makes getting into the game easy. Easy is a good word for this game and perhaps this is the problem. it is much easier than the previous two. An easy start is to be applauded but it never develops. Also the need to cmplete every task perfectly before ending is a little frustrating. I am left at the end knowing I only need to fly three more rounds of the Hippogriff challenge to finish. OK if you are good at this aspect but I am not and anyway as each round is very similar only longer the incentive to keep trying isn't there. Overall an enjoyable game but I hoped for more.

I was pending to buy this game or not but I decided to go ahead with it and it came on time and in good condition. The graphics on the game was fab!! But the down side to the game was that it only took me 5 hours to complete the game. But I would recommended it.

I used to play this such a long time ago when I was little, but I'd lost the cd so I decided I would buy it again from amazon. And oh my gosh. I thought, because I was older, I wouldn't enjoy it as much as I used to... but I did. Moreso infact. Because now I'm older I was able to go through the entire castle and find all the secrets instead of just trying to complete the game. Which I loved doing! And just... ahh. I love this game so much! Deffo worth the price. And deffo the best game out of ALL of the games. Awesome. Great buy.

This game is unbelievable! Its got the classic music from the first game but with new and brilliant graphics (for a retro gamer anyway). If your a fan of the first few games you should definitley get this one! The spells are great, you even get to play as Hermione and Ron too!! And as always it sticks to the detail of the books instead of the films which is a brilliant thing too. Probably my favourite game out

I am 23 and I absolutely loved it. I am not a huge gamer but I am a devoted Harry potter fan and decided to try this out after going back to the first game which I first played like 10 years ago. This game is timeless! Love it!

This game is very playable for all ages. They've taken away some of the sheer terror of the earlier games. The imps don't come up and bite you anymore, they throw exploding crackers instead! Also, you often get hundreds of beans and other goodies for not much effort. The buck beak challenge is, er, challenging! all in all, cheap as chips and entertaining.

dont buy second hand pc games. they are always regestered to some 1 and you cant play them. mine didnt work.
