Loved it!
Fake dating is a trope that is my all time favourite and adding a marriage of convenience to it is like the cherry on top! This was such a feel good romance with a sunshine hero and a kind of grumpy heroine. Avery & Emmett both have their own reasons to get into this deal and at first, Avery despises Emmett but slowly fake affection turns into real feelings and sparks start to fly between them. I enjoyed seeing them together so much! Their banters were so amusing and when they developed real feelings, there were real butterflies! This entire book in general was just so cute, fluffy and wholesome and it definitely did it's job right of getting me out of my reading slump. I am definitely going to read more from Stephanie Archer because I sure loved the writing style!

Fun read
Avery and Emmett are really cute together. Loved the way all characters are built up. Thankfully no revengeful ex. The best part is how Avery resolves the issue with her quick thinking and resourcefulness. Turtles and Emmett was funny!Good read!

Hilariously cute
Tropes:- Fake dating/ marriage of convenience- Enemies to lovers- Small town romance- He falls first and harder- Reverse grumpy/sunshineAvery has been the manager of a restaurant for a while, and the owner is ready to sell up and move away. The only problem is that Avery doesn't have enough financial backing to make the purchase. Emmet is a hard-working contractor whose best friend has moved away due to electrical grid issues in the small town. He wants to become mayor and sort it out once and for all. The problem is that no one is taking him seriously because of his bachelor lifestyle. We can all guess where this is heading!Avery is a no-nonsense female lead who has her goals and plans in place. Nothing is going to divert her from her plans, especially not the cocky Emmett who everyone in their small town seems to absolutely adore! (Except for Avery)Emmett is really sweet. He goes above and beyond for everyone, from his family to the small community living in Queens Cove. His family worries that he gives too much of himself to everyone else and doesn't have anyone to look out for him.I enjoyed this book a lot. I loved the way that Avery and Emmett developed their relationship. Although it was a fake dating/ marriage of convenience, along the way, they realised how much they really liked/loved each other. It would seem like it was quick, but somehow, it worked for them!I do very much recommend this book to others! Enjoy and happy reading!

Fun, sweet and spicy
This was such a fun fake dating romance! But it also gave all the feels, it was well developed with good spice, intimacy, and a wonderful small town setting. It did all seem to happen very quickly though, and it mostly felt like the timeline was very ambiguous - but it was definitely a quick and easy read, and I will absolutely be reading the rest of the series.

Love the banter between Avery and Emmett
After reading Behind the Net I had to start reading The Queen Cove series. I love the banter that Avery and Emmett had throughout the whole book. When Avery met Emmet for the first time she thought the worse of him. But when she got to know Emmett she saw a different side of him that most people don't see. I love the faking trope but this went to fake dating to fake engagement to fake marriage. It was a roller-coaster of feelings. I really like this series so far and I can't wait to read the rest of the books.

made me laugh
Characters are well written, the slow burn is just enough to make you believe they fall for one another without getting boring, I laughed so hard at the turtle scene. Only took a star off because their really wasn’t a conflict. I always felt like the shoe was going to drop with Chuck or their fake dating and it never really happened. The end was such an easy fix it didn’t seem like a true conflict. The mayoral race sort of disappeared from the plot too and I wanted a little more with that arc. Overall so well done, would recommend to anyone who enjoys a sweet small town romance with humor.Spice level 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Absolutely Loved!
I fell in love with this first book so much! I loved the pacing of this book and the way the relationship developed. I don’t really read a lot of reverse grumpy sunshine books, but Avery and Emmett really sucked me in. These two really balanced each other well. This was the perfect small town romance book and I loved that it was set in Canada. Stephanie did an amazing job with the character development. The book is a little bit of slow burn, but the spice does pick up and had me loving the moments.
