Very informative. I have been at a lost as to what to eat and have been unable to get an appointment with my gastroenterologist until next month. Thank You. I have been very frustrated. Can now see light at the end of the tunnel

Helpful
This is the first book I read after being diagnosed and it was an easy and helpful guide. It had an easy to read format and was informative. I will definitely try some of these recipes.

Great for new diagnosis
Diagnosed in the ER with diverticulitis. Never heard of this disease and didn't know where to start. This handbook was simple to read and broke everything down to the basics, what is this disease and what can I do to heal myself. I appreciated the recipes which gave me a good place to start. Good read.

Good information
I bought the book during my first attack of diverticulitis. My doctor, err .. Nurse Practitioner, was clueless except for what her little computer was spewing out and never made a stab at a diagnosis, let alone a solution. I waited two weeks for a referral to a specialist and felt like I needed to figure things out. This book was suggested and I bought it on Amazon. The information was very good to a clueless person like myself and explained some things about my symptoms. The liquid diet suggested was what ultimately got me on the right track, with confirmation from another book that I bought on Amazon. My only complaint was that the information in this book is not terribly specific and left me guessing about foods and liquids and schedule. The information is basically the same as what I found on WebMD.com, although better organized. Since there does not seem to be a universally accepted cause or treatment for Diverticulitis, it is to be expected that different authors have conflicting information.

The book suggests you get a list of good and bad foods from your doctor
Disappointing. A little larger than a ladybird kids reading book, with soft cover. The main reason I ordered it was to find out what i could and couldnt eat.... The book suggests you get a list of good and bad foods from your doctor, but this is why i ordered it.A few recipes, no pictures, there are alot better books on the market

Overpriced
Got to say this book is very over priced. Only 55 pages and some of the foods in there that says I can eat are what I was told I couldn't eat. Not impressed!

So helpful
While waiting for a confirmed diagnosis with a Colonoscopy I purchased this book to help me understand the value of the foods I need to eat in order to try and avoid this painful disease. It was so informative that I feel I am going to be so prepared to hit this head on and hopefully keep it under control.Thank you

It's the size of a Ladybird book!!
An exceptionally small book for the price. I read it in literally 15 minutes. It's all American so a lot of the ingredients for the recipes won't be available in the UK.I found out no more than I already knew from the NHS websiteNot very impressed
