Greed-flation
I really like using these steno books to make notes while studying French, and the last time I purchased this item it was a little over $10. NOW is is 50% MORE.This is greed-flation folks. Companies raising prices, BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY CAN.

From a novice Gregg stenographer
I personally thought this is great for practicing Gregg stenography. I haven't used it nearly as much for Gregg stenography as other things, but I will be doing so this summer, and I might do an update giving my opinion on the use of this thing, which will probably be a little more extensive due to the fact that I'll be using my first fountain pen as well (a Lamy Safari w/ EF Nip, if you're curious), and I'd like to see how these pages take the ink.Right now I'm using them for MCATs instead of Gregg stenography. Super helpful to just have all this paper around to keep notes. I bought like 18 of these things, and I'm burning right through them. MCAT studies take a lot of work and a lot of paper!Just a note: Please don't fold the pages all the way back. When you're writing, keep the back open and flat on the table. It helps a lot to keep the pages more flat on the table. It also helps to keep the back open when handling the notepad. If you fold the pages all the way back, you're more liable to rip previous pages out when you don't want them to rip out (though it's still not so easy to rip out that you're BOUND to rip them out. I still fold it back sometimes, and they usually don't rip out. I'm just saying that it's more likely that pages will be ripped out if you fold it back). Besides that little thing (which seems like a given with perforated sheets), these notepads are very nice.

an " okay, but not great" replacement
I've used Mead Cambridge Steno Pads for years to copy down recipes. They used heavyweight bond paper which you could use on both sides without the ink showing through. They also had 140 pages per book. They recently stopped manufacturing them, so I've been looking for a substitute. This was the best I could come up with online, but the paper is far thinner and inferior to Cambridge. Don't get me wrong...they're perfectly adequate for making disposable lists or notes, just not as good as Cambridge.

It suits my needs pretty well. The only things I don't like are that the pages are a little dark (they're pretty yellow and I wish they were a little more white) and the cover of the pad has started to fade (is getting white spots on the cover).

Strong & Sturdy
Very nice steno book, I use it at work as I am talking on phone and writing notes to myself about the call.It is very sturdy and paper is good quality, having 100 sheets makes it last a lot longer than cheaper versions.Highly recommend to any office worker or anyone that needs to keep good notes on things and not throwthe note away by mistake !!!
