It's a lovely piece of art. Good quality wood and strap. I love mine! Took a few days to fill in all the dots to reach age 37, but well worth it.

WeekMinder® Wooden Life Calendar - 90 Years in Weeks Poster
Price at time of order: $39.99OK, here's the deal. I got this thinking that it would encourage me to get out and do more of the things I want to do, but I just can't bring myself to mark the circles. It has nothing to do with the product and everything to do with my mindset. I'm almost 61 years old, and every time I'd pick it up to color in the circles I just couldn't do it. There would be too few circles left, and that scares the crap out of me!That being said, if you are looking for something like this, I would recommend this one. it is really well made. I mean, it's wood! It's going to last. It won't tear like paper would. The loop at the top to hang is is nice, thick leather. This is a quality product!

It’s ok.
The media could not be loaded. There were so many choices for this sort of calendar that I just kind of went with a more expensive option without really looking. So anything negative on this Review is probably totally my fault and my ignorance but my perspective is for $40 for a plank of wood is a lot. To put it in perspective, it’s not much larger than holding a legal pad of paper. Engraving, understandably, faint. So much so that my family didn’t know what it was until they looked closer. I suggest you go slow if you are old. I used a new dry erase with a good tip but some spot bled. I went to a sharpie and the same. I also don’t get the 90 years. Why not just do 100? That sounds way better. Now I have a goal of setting this on fire on my 90th.

I ADORE this concept!
I absolutely love the concept of this product. In fact, I was just about to put marbles in a jar for the same purpose - once a week, you extract a marble, and the marbles that remain are the weeks you can probably expect to live. This Week Minder, however, is easier, and, with merely a glance, you will be reminded of the passage of time.Let's get the un-fun part out of the way. It's not at all enjoyable to color in all of the dots up to your current age, although its degree of tediousness is of course related to your current age. Suffice it to say that I'm more than halfway to the bitter end!If you're a perfectionist (I'm a hyper-perfectionist) it may trouble you that each circle doesn't get filled in perfectly. Nope; your board is not likely to look like the one shown in the listing photos. I'm using a permanent black marker, and sometimes accidentally color outside the lines, which drives me straight bonkers. I've thought about buying a new board along with some tiny black stickers so that I can make the board perfect, though I probably won't do it, as that would be even more tedious than coloring in the circles.A word of advice. Before you start coloring in the dots, think back over your life and make note of any life-changing events and when they occurred. You can make them stand out on your board by coloring their circles in a different color. I only thought of this after I'd covered those dates with black, and I'm still kicking myself for it.The listing indicates you can also use a different color for when you intend to meet your future goals. I'm less keen on that idea because, let's face it, how many of us really meet our goals exactly when we think we will? And if you miss your goal dates, you have a big fat reminder of your failure every time you look at the board. So anyway, I definitely don't plan to use the board for goals.Anyway, I think the calendar is perfect with one exception. I think it should be accompanied by a marker with a perfectly round tip sized specifically for the board. Such a marker would prevent so many boo-boos. I do have a set of erasable markers, but they are fairly light in color so may not show up, and I'm not sure you could erase from wood rather than paper anyway. All things considered, I completely love this product, give major kudos to its creator, and absolutely believe it'll light a fire under my bum to live life both more productively and more fully, which is, after all, the whole point! This is a major win!

Not worth.
Material bleeds, wood grain and color are a bit ugly and not consistent. Great concept - will have to make my own.

Simple and attractive tool for long term mindfulness
I had never heard of Memento Mori boards and it sounded like a great way to do a meaningful retrospective of my life and then appreciate that I have a lot of time ahead of me. I'm color coding the weeks, so the week my sister married a great guy will be bright yellow and the 1968 assassinations of MLK and RFK will be black. It's already made me appreciate that I have a lot of time ahead of me to enjoy. The board is a sturdy laminated piece of wood with a smooth but unfinished surface. The wood grain on front and back is subtle but definitely there, and attractive. The one I received has engraved dots and text only on the front. The dots and text are marked in a medium brown (perhaps made by wood burning?) that is easy to see but still discreet; I really like the restrained contrast. The dots are 1/8 inch/3 mm across and the same color as the rest of the board, outlined by the medium brown outline. The numbers and text are about the same size as the dots, perhaps a tad larger. I have elderly eyes and can see the dots just fine when it's hanging on the wall. For me, visiually, it's more of a gentle quiet conversation with a friend instead of someone shouting at me to buckle down and get things done.I've used acrylic paint markers so far to color the dots and they work great. The wood takes the paint well and the color doesn't bleed. There's a slight indent outline of each dot so the paint makes a tidy circle without much skill on my part. The hanger is a leather-like strip screwed into an indent at the top. It matches the wood nicely and feels like it will have no trouble lasting for decades. I'm looking forward to finding out how the leather strap and the wood eventually show they've been used. The wood is dense enough to be sturdy but it's going to wear smooth with years of handling.I'm very happy with this Memento Mori board. It seems built to last much longer than I will, so a good choice for younger people who will use it for more decades. It probably will show slight signs of wear due to my dropping it onto corners of furniture and other life hazards, but only minor damage. In between the Big Event weeks, I'm planning to color code my workplace environment -- from dream job to toxic and everything in between. That will remind me of the good times, and let me congratulate myself for coping with/surviving the bad ones. No matter what your age, I think this Memento Mori board is a wonderful way to occasionlly take stock of where you are, how you got there, and where you're going.
