Rubbish sound quality
Bought audio book to listen to in the car but worst sound quality I have ever had! Listened for 15 minutes and then gave up.

Thought provoking insight into human nature
Marshall Rosenberg has a calming and unruffled manner that instantly makes the listener feel at ease. He reminds me of Morgan Freeman in his temperament and countenance and that is no bad thing at all. In this book he ponders human nature and focuses on what we all have in common in terms of needs and wants. In fact, Dr Rosenberg's hypothesis is that every aspect of human behaviour can be broken down into the satisfaction of theses basis wants and needs. The good doctor is modest and humble but occasionally throws in some personal credentials to underline what he is saying, for example his experience playing peacekeeper in Northern Nigeria and his role in settling conflicts in the Middle East. His teachings can be applied to everyday life too . It is just a matter of understanding other people's wants and needs. And understanding the difference between an observation and an evaluation when listening to other person's views. There are several themes that are not fully developed in this short book and it would have been interesting to hear more of his stories but sadly Dr Rosenburg died shortly after this audio book was recorded.
