Love re going smell

This is the most expensive candle I’ve ever purchased and the company’s scent ‘description bergamot and plum mingle with middle notes of leather and rum, and base notes of amber-patchouli and vanilla’ along with everyone’s rave reviews had my mouth watering. I LOVE scents like these. Add into that the advertised burn time and I thought, okay let’s do it. I was so excited for it to arrive.I’m not sure what the deal is with my candle but my experience is completely different than those rave reviews. Did I get a bad batch? I know from making my own candles that there’s a lot that goes into it… It’s been burning for 3 hours now in a pretty small room (which according to the packaging is actually supposed to be its max burn time) and 1.) I can barely smell it - the throw is terrible - I basically have to stick my face next to it and 2.) it smells like a bar of dove soap and nothing like the description. I’ve bought much better candles from Target for $10, and even the candles I’ve messed around with and made myself have had more throw.Just really disappointed.

Big fan of Malin + Goetz. On the pricier side, but worth the longevity and unique scents. If you can spend the scratch I’d give it a try..

Have been a huge fan of Malin+Goetz for a while. My go-to candle has always been their Leather scented one, but I recently decided to switch it up and try the Dark Rum scent. Was worried it would be overly sweet, but it is more spicy and definitely makes me feel like I'm on vacation. My only complaint is that the candles do have a tendency to tunnel - which is quite annoying. I always try to burn the candle long enough for the full surface of the candle to melt, but it never happens with this candle. When I get close to the end, I'll probably try putting it on a baking sheet in the oven on a low temp to get all the wax stuck to the sides back down on the bottom.

If you hate it when guest walk into your house and ask what smell so good, don’t buy this candle….. I’ve bought them all & NOTHING compares to this - and of course it’s priced to reflect that but it’s worth it

Really lovely scent and great value for money on the quality of scent, candle, and time to burn.

Duftet sehr natürlich

I find it difficult to find leather scents that don’t smell chemically, but this is hands down my favourite leather candle of all time. I had zero burn troubles with it and having used it all the way down to the wick I now need to replace it. If you like leather scents I 100% recommend this one.

Not impressed at all, the only good thing about this candle it's the design.
