kSiosLni Thumb USB Drive 256GB with Key Ring - Silver

I knew there was a chance this was fake, but since the website claimed they were verified to assure they were real, I was hoping it was just a cheap knockoff model, rather than actually fake. This was about 26$ for 256GB. It came in a sketchy little white package. I bought a sandisk at the same time that cost 50+$ for the same advertised capacity.I didn't use any fancy capacity checking programs. I just tried to copy 100GB onto it. It crashed at about 20GB in. It was strange because I kept people able to put new files in, but it would said that certain files couldn't be written. I'm guessing it a 32GB drive or less, but I couldn't be sure. Someone else with more patience can figure it out. Just important for people buying: its likely not gonna work for you.

I read the reviews and bought it on a lark. Let's call it an experiment. I immediately checked the capacity of the drive when I got it. My computer read it as a 256GB drive. Data transfer was slow, but I did manage to get about 20GB on it eventually, but it took more than an hour. I left and when I checked later in the evening the transfer was complete. I decided to reformat the drive, which I did. It didn't help. Large files took unbearable amounts of time to transfer, so I gave up. I noticed the thumb drive got hot with use. I left it and came back to it a week or so ago and decided to try different formats. The transfer times were too long and the drive got warm or hot just being in my computer. Whatever gimmickry is used to get this thing to read as 256GB is good, but it can't really have the much capacity -- not that you could prove it because of the slow transfer times. You would die of old age before you got to 256GB.

JUNK!!!!!!! This is not 256GB more like 25GB and it is SLOW!!! 10Hrs to copy 27GB and it crashed after 20GB

If I could have given this a negative review, I would!! I purchased this to keep all of my important files. I got everything downloaded onto the drive, only using about 25% of the memory. I cleaned up my computer and deleted all of the files that are on this thumb drive. About two weeks later, the thumb drive stopped working!!! It cannot be recognized!!! I could not get a refund on the non functioning drive because I have to send it back to get my money back. This is the only copy of these files, so, that is not an option. I am monster screwed here. I am finally at a point financially where I can pay someone to recover these files, or so I thought! I am looking at over $1,500 to get these files recovered. I can't event get an accurate estimate without paying almost triple what this crappy ass drive cost me! Take my advice...use iCloud or Google Drive. Don't throw your money away on this!

It seems to work (haven't tried filling it), but it is EXTREMELY slow. I had to leave it for most of the day to transfer about 60GB onto it. I don't really trust it to not go bad given the number of bad reviews it has gotten, so although I am keeping it for now, it is only until I can find something more reliable.

nice design, metal and not plastic, wide hole that enables connecting to a key ring, large storage volume - all these are useless when the product does not work: when I copy files from my computer to the flash drive, most of what I copy does not appear on the flash drive. It will only copy all files if I copy very few files at a time. Not very practical to have to copy a few files at a time if my goal is to back up about 20GB.Unfortunately I missed the return by window. I am not taking a risk of buying another one just to try if another will work - I consider this product unreliable

This is junk. Transfer rate was 600 kb/s vs 17 MB/s for my Patriot Supersonic Magnum. And it failed half way through a large transfer, requiring re-formatting, which in turn had to be cancelled one day later. The Amazon description says "High speed in writing/reading transfer". Don't believe it. This is a classy looking piece of junk.

Literally the worst thing I’ve purchased off of Amazon. You should tell people the flash drives are really 32GB and the other space is fake. Doesn’t actually save anything just lets you wait for nothing, I want my money back and I highly recommend no one else gives them their money. It’s crazy but you really do get what you pay for.
