This is a simple device that is easy to use. The device includes a plastic carrying case, a fabric travel case, a lanyard, and two AAA batteries (which are both needed to operate it).All you need to do is turn it on and then open the "clamp" and stick your finger in. It'll show a graph on the screen while it does the reading and then let you know your SpO2 level and pulse rate.It will continue reading and updating your stats while you wear it and then will automatically turn off once you take the device off of your hand.It comes in a white plastic case that nicely snaps shut. The plastic case has a belt clip on it and can be used on its own to hold, protect, and carry the device. But if you want even more protection (or you want to eliminate the plastic case, you can use the thick fabric (I'm guessing it's woven nylon) case instead. It has a loop on it to go around a belt and also includes a little lanyard as well.This is a handy little device to have if you need to check those particular stats regularly and it's so simple to use that you'll never have to dig out the owner's manual. Even if you are stressed or in an emergency situation, using this will be completely easy and self-explanatory.While most of the housing is plastic, it seems well made and well assembled. I have no concerns about it breaking or wearing out. Obviously the batteries will eventually need to be replaced, but otherwise I expect it to last me a long time.

My wife's grandmother had to use one of these to monitor her vital signs, so we got quite familiar with their operation. Raising kids at this day and age, I prefer to have a handful of useful devices for measuring any potential health problems. I already own a digital ear thermometer that gets a great deal of use (it has been a life saver).Additionally I wanted to have a pulse-Ox meter as well. This meter arrived packaged well in a tiny box. I was happy to see that batteries were included, as well as both a soft case, and a hard sided clam-shell type case (the designers must know what my household is like with 3 kids).Assembly was easy, just install the batteries, remove the LED cover and you should be good to go.I really enjoy the easy-to read multi-color display, as well as the interface which includes representation of when the meter is actively reading (so you know it is working). Data seems accurate, easy to read - quick reading. Excellent meter, very handy to have around. 5-stars!

My first impression was that it was cheap, but that opinion changed pretty quickly after using it. I added the 2 AAA batteries (included) and was able to use it pretty instantly without looking at the instructions, because I've done exotic things before, like getting my pulse taken. The display will read 'no finger.' I fixed that by putting my finger in there. There's one button, I pushed it, and the magic happened.It worked right out of the box.I mean, I guess it worked. I can't verify all of the results, but the bpm seemed close enough. As I was verifying it, I moved my hand. More magic happened. Regardless of which way I turned my hand, the display turned with it. WHAT?! This thing is pretty snazzy.My Mother in Law has heart issues, so we're using this on her regularly, especially when she gets mad at my husband. I slip this on her finger when she starts getting angry. She instantly giggles at me and forgets what she was mad about. Also, her heart rate got up to 145, from an earlier reading of 92. My husband kind of deserved it that time.I would recommend this. It seems to work well and does that cool flipping thing as well as the Mother in Law trick.

This oximeter has an accurate pulse reading and O2 saturation. It continuously reads as long it is on your finger. All I had to do is insert batteries and it was ready to use. The screen is easy to read and instructions are helpful in case you need them.

Gets the job done easily, simply put your finger in-between the device and results show fairly quickly. The display is easy to read, shows oxygen and pulse and is constantly updating. It also comes with two cases you can choose how you like to carry it or use both together. The white hard plastic case is nice, but the oximeter can only be placed inside it in one specific orientation. It's a little annoying, but it makes it really secure. You can fit the white case in the black softer carrying case and you can attach the lanyard provided to make it even more convenient. The only thing is I didn't like how the black case seemed to flake a little, but it seems to have stopped.Overall great oximeter that comes with its own batteries and carrying case.
