Laser 2831 Welding Helmet with Lens

I think this is an American design. What the description doesn't say is that the lens is in a visor that can be lifted upward. The normal clear plastic sheet is underneath i'd imagine for eye protection, chipping off or grinding. The last helmet i had, had a handle and head strap but was larger so this design is nice and compact. I can only deduce that's the idea as most helmets have the clear plastic covering the lens. lens is a 2 ins depth rather than 3 but that's fine for me.I wanted something not too expensive but not junk either and was pleased with this purchase.

Does the main job of protecting your eyes well, however the plastic itself isn't hugely rigid. However for the price I wouldn't hesitate to buy one

i bought this welders helmet because i wanted to look like i work in manual labour, but you know, skilled manual labour. i wanted people to think i was a craftsman, not some pleb who carries stuff. but no-one believed me. i wore it to all the coolest clubs in shoreditch, hoxton, dalston, even south of the river, and never once did anyone mistake me for a welder. rubbish.

Sod welding! It's labour related purpose is dead! Aesthetics all the way ^ ^ I can 'weld' it's look with many things, creating a militaristic theme suitable for a steam-punk version of Ghost Recon xD Sorry, I'm an artist, just forwarding it's uses :) Very durable and the the adjustment settings are very well designed :)
