Sealing ring for “Ideal Standard” wash hand basin
It took a lot of searching to try and find the right sealing ring for my “Ideal Standard” Wash hand basinThis set of three rings, all fitted perfectly and sorted out the problem of water running out of the three wash hand basins.I believe they were quite pricey for what they were, but needs must. Hopefully they will last a bit longer than the original ones.Outside diameter of sealing ring - 37mmInside diameter of sealing ring - 30mmDiameter of the seat where the ring sits - 33mmMeasurements are taken using an ageing micrometer taken by an equally ageing operative

These fit perfectly
Update: after a few days I noticed the seal had fully seated itself into position and now I think it’s holding the water perfectly so upping the review to the full 5 starsBought these after buying similar ones from amazon that were ever so slightly larger and turned out to be too big for the plug. These were listed as 31mm where the other was 32mm so that 1mm made all the difference. These fit where the others didn’t. 1 star off as the plug still lets water through when closed, but it’s much much better than the perished one it replaced. Overall very happy and glad it fits. Just know that universal doesn’t necessarily mean it will fit and there is no way to measure to that level of precision easily so you just need to trial and error it.

ARE THESE WORTH THE MONEY?
I read a lot of reviews about pop-up basin seals and eventually settled on this offering because of the ratings. Up to a point I have to agree. The seal was fitted to the pop-up without any difficulty and the "test" began. Push plug down, fill basin with water …….and then watch the water slowly empty from basin!I did try the seal on a different pop-up and the result was noticeably quite different - the "leakage" was smaller but it worked sufficient well to keep the water in the basin for washing/shaving, etc.I tried all three seals on the first pop-up and, unsurprisingly, the results were the same. To all intents and purposes these two basin wastes are the same, i.e. they were bought as standard size basin wastes so it's perhaps unfair to be too critical of this particular product because it did half-work on one, but not at all on the other. I'm not going to return these as they will clearly be useful for one of my pop-up wastes but how do you go about finding one which will be guaranteed to work???These are expensive compared to most of the others on offer on Amazon but are they truly worth this amount of money? In my opinion, no.

Perfect for elegant click clack waste on Duravit hand basin
This small piece of synthetic rubber is perfect seal for a "click clack" waste plug where one relies on the spring to open the plug hole. After 6 years the old seal had gone hard and the plug hole waste would not open requiring the equivalent of the U bend to be removed so one could poke it up from underneath. The moral of the story - do not let a plumber fit a waste plug of this type in the first place or if you are stuck with one, change this seal before it goes hard and jams the mechanism. It is easy to change the seal from the top if the waste is open - just wince at the cost of sourcing this unique spare.

costly but environmentally friendly
used to replace a worn out RICO pop up bathroom sink plug. The gasket is extremely easy to replace and works amazingly well. Costing almost £3 per replacement is clearly a great mark up on the cost of manufacturing but as finding these gaskets is harder than unicorn teeth its a captive market. Plus it's better than having to purchase a whole new plug, which RICO head office suggests as they do not offer replacement parts.RECOMMENDED- great product, better for the enviroment than having to replace complete unit.

Absolutely Brilliant
Usual thing, basin waste starts draining water. Realised a new 'O' ring was required. I tried several (all the right size) but either slightly too big or too small. Ended up buying a new chrome plug with ring but that too was slightly too big. My local plumbers advised me this problem was quite common and invariably you had to buy a whole new unit and replace. As a last ditch I decided to go for these (although they seemed very, very expensive). However, put one on and magic. It actually worked better than the original. They appear to be a bit flimsy but don't be put off by that. No more problems now. Would highly recommend these.

Well made
These were to replace the old rubber 'O' rings on my Roca basin pop up plugs. Roca plugs have an 'O' ring groove that is not standard. I measured the gap with a vernier gauge and these are the nearest I could find. They seem to be a good quality and made from 'silicone' rubber. Plain rubber cracks and perishes over time.

Perfect fit - and these work!
Difficult to choose what replacement seal to buy for the pop-up waste our cloakroom sink, as many have mixed reviews. The old seal had started to perish and go hard, so that it would stick the plug in the down position, and prevent it from popping back up.I'm glad I chose these - they fit perfectly and give a smooth operation. Delivery was fast (next day). While I did think they are a bit expensive for small bits of rubber, they are worth it for confidence that they actually work! And I have spares to hand for the bathroom and en suite...
