This bike arrives 95% assembled, only a few parts need moved from shipping position for use. A video on the seller's website helpfully shows how to do this.All went well until I got to the pedals, which need to be reversed from the shipping position for use. The right pedal unscrewed and reversed without problem, but the left pedal was very tight and, yes, I know it's left handed thread on that side. After using a lot of force it did loosen but in doing so the spanner slipped and scratched the Via Veneto decal on the frame. That annoyed me because I had put a cloth over the bike frame to protect it from exactly this sort of thing, but it had fallen off during my struggle to undo the pedal nut.Apart from that, I am surprised that there is not a cap over the handlebar adjustment screw, since this is in a recess that definitely will fill up with rainwater and will be a devil to prevent rusting, unless it is stainless steel. Every bike I have ever owned in the past 50 years has had some sort of cap or bung over this screw. Time will tell, but I think I might have to find something to block it up.I saw the other review which suggested that the handlebar was loose, but this wasn't a problem and the handlebar tightened up very firmly in position, just as it should.Now the bike is built it looks very nice and traditional, apart from the scratched decal.

But atleast it didn't cost me an extra £120 pounds! It's a lovely bike but perhaps not the most sturdy so be prepared to do some repairsOriginal reveiw: It's been 2 months max and I have been sent an unsafe bike despite tightening the handlebars as much as possible (including byba professional who was appalled and said I'll need to replace the whole bloody front and handlebars) they move as shown in video making it incredibly unsafe aswell as the tire popping out after incredly light use (I will also have to replace this aswell) I am going to have to pay over 120 in fixing a brand new bike that effectively arrived broken! I'm so upset because as you can see it was well loved and it's the only way I can visit my mum with the public transport ban. As I cannot feasibily return the bike to Italy I would appreciate some sort of partial refund to cover the major fixes needed and can provide receipts and such but until I am able to get that I am very upset :(

Bike was delivered early, so did not take very long at all. Box seemed very heavy but the bike was very well packaged and the box itself weighed a ton, the bike is fantastic. the quality is superb, and the gear change is a dream. Was a little difficult to assemble as the nuts were very tight so hubby helped and we had to google how to angle the handlebars. I bought the flowers from eBay for decoration, and have been out today to loads of smiles and attention from passer byes. The bike just brings joy, from a mountain bike with chunky tyres -very hard to ride to this, which is so comfortable and easy to peddle. I am very pleased.

Bought this for my wife who threw it in the back of the car and set off to cycle around Oxford!It arrived quicker than you can believe is possible and the vendor kept in close touch double checking our requirements to ensure we wouldn't be disappointed. They needn't have worried - it's a lovely bike and so easy to set up even I could do it.Basically there are about three really obvious things you need to do like attach the pedals etc. The gears were perfect - I have had shakier gear adjustment having bought from new in a shop! Maybe I was just lucky but hell each gear selected changed so smoothly. I am thinking of buying one for myself now. Both bike and vendor highly recommended.

Exactly what I wanted, beautiful bike and I can ride it wearing a very full skirt with no problems! The way the basket attached is a bit flimsy but I've just opted to attach it to the handle bar instead with a couple leather straps, the saddle bags however are great and very stable. It was also super easy to get ready just had to turn a couple screws and turn the handle bars and pedals around. I'm 5'2 and haven't ridden a bike this comfortably in years so I'm very happy with my purchase 👌

This was a present to myself for my 50th birthday. How quick was this delivered.... really quickly! I didn't expect it till next week. Just got back from a holiday and picked it up from work. Couldn't wait to set it up (pretty easy) and take her for a spin. I had a small wheeled fold up bike and compared to that this baby goes like stink. (That's my way of saying it is pretty fast). Loving the colour, shape of the bike and the overall look. Lightweight too. Thank you soooo much Canellini. Love it. I feel like a proper grown-up now.

I bought one each for hubby and me.Neither of us has cycled for over 30 years!Was concered about having gears, but got used to them on the first trip, no bother!Enjoyng them very much. Love this bike, very easy and comfortable to ride. Pannier bags are very flimsy and not secure but easily replaced. The bike itself is great, lightweight and maneuverable. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a more upright sitting position and a saddle that isn't going to leave you saddlesore.
