Wera 31576 Kraftform Comfort VDE Screwdriver Set, 7 Pieces

I was installing outside security sensors & lights around the house and decided to treat my self to a new set of these Wera VDE screwdrivers. As a DIYer I've tried many different makes of screwdrivers over the years and I have to say these are the best ones yet. They ooze quality and have a wonderful feel and balance in the hand. The tips seem really hard and the grip is very comfortable and does not slip. The range of tips is good though I suspect I will keep coming back to the same couple of screwdrivers for most tasks. The set is let down by the poor quality electro-probe screwdriver where bears no resemblance to the other screwdrivers. The set comes in a rigid cardboard carton, more for display than long term storage. It would be nice if Wera included a case or tool roll to store the screwdrivers in when not in use. I don't know about the long term durability of these screwdrivers but judging by the apparent quality, I'm confident they will serve me well for many years to come. Price-wise, there are much cheaper offerings out there, but the quality of these are head & shoulders above the competition. In my opinion, if you want a frequent use tool that will last for many years then it is worth paying the premium price for these screwdrivers. Even better if you can get them when reduced on Amazon.AS AN UPDATE, I recently had to remove the foot on a fridge freezer secured by a stubborn screw. All my other screwdrivers were flexing and couldn't budge it, all the time slowly damaging the screw head. Eventually I got out my trusty Wera screwdriver from this set and managed to undo the screw, saving me the time & frustration of having to drill out a damaged screw.

These screwdrivers are extremely high quality for the price you pay. Have had quite a bit of use the past 6 months and have held up exceptionally well. I have lost the Philips 2 driver so am thinking of buying the set again as its not much more than that driver on its own. The handles are very comfortable and grippy. The drawings on the handle top provides easy identification of the screwdriver you need when in tool bag. The smallest slotted drivers tip bent after used to tighten up an awkwardly small light fitting, I probably gave it too much torque considering the size of the actual screwdriver. Overall an awesome set for the money, you can't go wrong.

I've been using these day in, day out for nearly 5 months and they are some of the best screwdrivers I've used.Don't get me wrong, I've used C.K. Dextro's, Irazolas and whatnot, and they are all great drivers but these Kraftform Comforts are a joy to use. The blades take some serious abuse and stay true after a load of knocking about. The handles are well designed for full gripping or finger twiddling a M3.5 into a box and they're fully rubber so they don't slip about. Obviously, they're VDE and got a nice collar down the bottom so your hand doesn't slip over the edge and end up in a live consumer unit (remember safe isolation, ladies and gents!)If I lost these drivers, I wouldn't hesitate to grab another set. For less than £20, these are a great addition to your bag!

I was excited to recieve my first Wera screwdriver set as I've only ever heared good things about them!However, I was slightly dissapointed when opening that one screwdriver has obvious sign of damage.This could have been avoided if the packaging was better, as you see there's no plastic protection layer, this and the fact that the package was just a sealed paper bag with no bubble wrap has caused the damage in transit I assume.I understand tools will recieve marks and damage upon use over time, but when buying a brand new product, especially a well presented brand like Wera you just dont expect this.The screwdrivers are brilliant as everyone else says, erconomic and very well made! Just a shame about the damage on one.

Purchased as these were considerably cheaper than high street / trade suppliers.ProsScrewdrivers are good quality, they get daily use and have not shown signs of wear.ConsThe electrical test screwdriver is lacking in quality.. however I do have better ones and electrical testers so it’s not a massive issue.

Cant fault the design of these , very ergonomic, feels great in the hands. Will get the job done , wera top brand. Only discrepancy would be that a couple of the drivers came scuffed out the box , not sure why or how. Saw another review with the same issue also. But doesn’t bother me as much as they are hand tools and will get used and battered eventually.

Great quality as expected from Wera. These don't have the dual compound grip that most Wera screwdrivers have but they are still perfectly good and not having that fancy grip means they cost a lot less. I work in maintenance and these are perfect for electrical work. Excellent German made tools.

Wera are my vde drivers of choice. These are just as good as the more expensive wera sets. Can't go wrong with these. I've found them slightly lest likely to 'find' their way into the hands of other tradesmen if you put them down for a second.
