I bought this to assist in the transfer of home movies, from tape to digital files. It works great. No unwanted noise

This worked for my Panasonic but I had to file one part of the cable down due to Panasonic's notch. Once filed down, it worked great with no issues.

S-Video picture quality was once "state-of-the-art," but now we are used to a much higher standard. But this cable does what it's supposed to, if you're still using an old S-video system.

This will be an awkward review but let me explain. I guess it works. *Shrug* I have exactly one s-video out device (old video camera) and one s-video input (video capture card).Now the card works with RCA plugs so I know that partially works. The camera works with composite out so that works. I can't verify whether the cable does or doesn't work. So I'll have to give them the benefit of the doubt until I can prove otherwise.

I used this cable for digitizing old cassette tapes from a camcorder as it was better quality to use S-Video than component. The cable did its job.

It is fine.

Throughput worked great, If you are working with old SVHS tech, this will fill the bill.
