Much thicker then the usual black castor oil I’ve used in the past. I love the texture and quality of this brand. My first time ordering from this company but was worth every penny. My skin feels amazing, I use it twice a day mostly after showering.On the flip side just wish the container was bigger, that little jar would last about 2wks. But overall great product.

This is the best Jamaican black castor oil I've come across in my 15 years of using it. The viscosity is thick, and the color is an amber brown, both staples of the cold press process.I live in an area where the temperatures range from -20⁰F in the winter to over 100⁰F in the summer. The Jamaican black castor oil is effective year long- directly in cold & dry weather, and diluted with other oils in the summer. I use it...- in my sugar scrubs (mixed with jojoba, kukui nut, & rosehip oils)- directly on my elbows and feet, or if I have an excema flare-up (This oil will absorb more effectively if you apply to damp skin)- as a facial moisturizer (mixed with jojoba, red raspberry seed, and rosehip oils)- as a hair mask (mixed with kukui nut and jojoba oils, I even add some to my shampoo and conditioner)- on my eyelashes, which have thickened and lengthened- added to my lotion(This oil will absorb more effectively if you apply to damp skin)Don't pay attention to the expiration dates on the outside of the packaging, Amazon mislabeles them. The real expiration dates are on the bottle.

Update: I changed my review from a 1 star to 4 due to the fact that this company has amazing customer service. It was personable and kind and she really took the time to give suggestions that could possibly make the product work better for me as well as offered to help me find another Leven Rose product that may work better. She even shared in the frustration about the messy dropper and provided the feedback to hopefully make it better. I was also offered a refund even though I was no longer using the product. This company and product deserve a chance based on the compassion for its customers. I love using castor oil and think it has a lot of great benefits but this was just not a product for me……The dropper is useless. The oil pours out everywhere. The product itself is super thick and sticky. It feels like thick maple syrup. It is not easy to apply. I gave this product the benefit of a doubt and used consistently for a week hoping to find its appeal and have been disappointed with the results. I will not buy again.

I didn’t buy this for my hair, I bought it for my face, however I am considering trying on my hair too. As far as a moisturizer for the face it is a bit thick, I recommend using it at night, however after using a retinol cream I like to put this on in the morning because of the irritation from retinol, it immediately calms my skin and hydrates. I think there are many more uses for this product, I will have to do a search to find out all it can do. Anyway I do recommend it

I really like this oil as far as having my skin glowing and super soft one the oil sits it doesn't leave your skin feeling oily my husband's hair and beard is growing and also has my feet super soft on day 1 of use nomore cracked feet. This is a great product

I tried a couple of brands of these. I tried this one because it is in a larger bottle and thicker, and darker, and had no scent. I love that there is no scent with this oil. But the downside is that it really doesn't do the same things the other black jamaican castor oil did for me. It seems to improve the gut some, it also moisturizes wonderfully. I don't have as good sleep, and I can't see that it improves me any other way. I don't know if this is typical. Ultimately I may try to at least use it on my hair to see if this will benefit from it, but I worry it will be too heavy for my hair given how thick it is.
