Amazon Essentials Men's Derby Shoe

I was in need of some nice dress shoes on a budget and decided to try these. I was honestly surprised at the good quality. For the price, I expected the shoes to feel cheap and uncomfortable. The leather feels nice and is very soft, it doesn’t stay stiff when I walk. And I can walk in these for hours and be comfortable the whole time. Don’t expect these to compare to a pair of Florsheim or Stacy Adams, but if you’re shopping on a budget, these are very nice.

This are very nice shoes. What I love about them is how comfortable they are. Dress shoe tend to hurt my feet but this feels nice. The sole are a little slippery when walking on carpet but I'm guessing I have to break them in. I would purchased these these shoe anytime of name brand if the save my feet and they were only $10. I should have brought more

They could almost pass off as shoes you got from some big department store. The look is just a bit off because they come to a dramatic point. The color is fine though and what you would expect from a "dark brown". The feel a bit plasticky and flimsy compared to the materials found in other shoes. This is all coming in at a bargain. For what you pay, this could make a suitable pair of everyday shoes for the office or for some teenager who needs them every so often.

Great show nice quality for the price, but they smell like smoke!! Tried all kinds of fresheners. But had to keep them in the garage

Wore them to an interview and for daily hospital work in clinic. Not the most comfortable but durability is there.

I was disappointed and was hopeful for a nice shoe. Shoe material was thin and very stiff. Fit was very tight and toe was pointer than appeared in picture. I returned and opted to spend a little more for Rockports.

I like the shoes I would buy another one again

I didn't break theses in before wearing, wore them 1st time to an all day wedding and had no issues or pains. I have fairly wide feet and theses are pretty comfy straight away.

Die Derbys von Amazon Basics - hier in dunkelbraun und Größe 42 - kommen in einem schlichten Karton, in dem die Schuhe mit den Sohlen aneinander in Packpapier eingewickelt sind. Beim Auspacken bemerkt man einen Geruch, der nicht zu Schuhen passt und nicht zu beschreiben ist. Das liegt am Material, denn das Obermaterial ist nicht Leder.Die Farbe ist ein sehr schönes dunkles Braun ohne rötlichen Einschlag, die Abbildung ist gut getroffen. Die Sohle ist aus Gummi mit glatten/glänzenden Kanten. Der Oberschuh ist nicht genäht, sondern auf die Sohle aufgeklebt. Hier und da ist der Kleber ungleichmäßig und sichtbar verlaufen. Die Nahtstellen der einzelnen Teile des Oberschuhs sind perfekt ausgeführt. Die Schnürung ist modern, aber extrem unpraktisch, denn die Schnürsenkel verlaufen unter den Laschen der Schnürung, sodass sich der Knoten zwischen den Laschen befindet, was das Lösen massiv erschwert. Die Schnürsenkel werden innen durch Metallösen geführt.Die Innensohle ist weich gepolstert, auch das Material des Oberschuhs ist recht weich. Bereits beim ersten Anfassen wirkt der Schuh bequem. Und das ist er auch - von der Schnürung abgesehen. Die Sohle ist sehr rutschsicher. Nichts drückt oder scheuert, auch nach mehreren Stunden und viel Bewegung. Die Schuhe sind im besten Wortsinn alltagstauglich.Der einziger Kritikpunkt ist das wenig atmungsaktive synthetische Obermaterial. Zwar war nach einem ganzen Arbeitstag mit einstündigem Mittagsspaziergang der Schuh immer noch bequem, aber es war auch ein sehr kalter Tag. Der Schuh ist nicht wirklich warm, aber man merkt, dass die Füße schwitzen. Von diesem Detail abgesehen, ist der Derby von Amazon Basics eine Empfehlung wert.

Nun sie sind günstig und das merkt man auch, wenn man sich das Material und die Verarbeitung ansieht. Mit Lloyd o.ä. sollte man es nicht vergleichen, da kosten die Schuhe dann auch das Mehrfache. Was mich stört ist, dass das Herkunftsland doch China ist und nicht Vietnam, wie es in der Artikelbeschreibung steht.

Cheap, hard plastic shoes. Unable to walk in them. I will never buy another Amazon brand item again.
