Perfect for Virgin and Bloody Marys
We make an awesome Bloody Mary. Forget what you get in the best cocktail bars, they are not even a patch on our recipe. You might find it thinner than the sweetened (yes, they sweeten your average bottle or tin of tomato juice used in cocktails) tomato juice you buy in bars.Use the Clamato as a base, then add lots, and I mean lots of lemon, as a guide, we use about 5 lemons to one bottle of clamato. then we add tabasco, worcestershire sauce, pepper, and a dash of celery salt. Gorgissimo! Served chilled with a shard of fresh celery, and bowl of cashew nuts. I making Bloody version, then just add vodka to taste. My husband always add the vodka last so you really get a big hit of it when you take your first sip!

Lovely stuff but comes at a mouthwatering premium price!
Well, this is absolutely lovely stuff and just the job for a beautiful Bloody Mary or Red Snapper, so 5* for flavour. The downside is the price of £5 upwads per 974ml bottle. Unfortunately my other favourite spiced tomato juice, Big Tom, isn't much cheaper, whereas a litre of supermarket tomato juice, to simply add your own ingredients to for a brew, can be had for £1. That is what I usually do and my own complex mixture is just as nice but very different to both those. The totally different flavour of Clamato stems, in my opinion, mainly from it's ingredient of dried clam/mollusc broth, though it also contains corn syrup, onion and garlic powder, vinegar, red chilli pepper, flavour and colour enhancers and monosodiun glutamate, the sodium salt of glutamic acid (E632) plus a few other Es. It's also much thinner/more watery than tomato juice, which limits the amount of ice that you can put in your drink. What I do is cut these expensive juices with supermarket tomato juice and their flavour still comes through but the price is reduced to about £3 upward a litre. Making your own mixture is, obviously, much cheaper at £1 a litre plus your additives like Worcester sauce, tabasco, vinegar, celery salt, ground ginger, fresh ground black pepper, tawny port and a vegetable stock cube or a few mixed herbs. As the price of both spiced juices has rocketed since the last time I bought batches a couple of months ago (by 20% (Clamato juice) and over 50% (Big Tom)) I am going back to making my own brew after I've finished them. Highly recommended but only if you have money to burn.

Clamato juice.A great treat.
Delicious but expensive. But it is my treat to myself as I am completely addicted to Clamato juice. I am thrilled it is available on Amazon,my wish is that it would come down in price.

Taste.
First tasted this in Canada on a visit to my brother. So pleased to find it on Amazon. It is so good. I have a glass a breakfast time. I like to drink it just as it is. Delivery was quick and well packaged.
