Not sure if wool but certainly not wam with sweat
I am a strong fan of wool and pay the premium to keep using wool underwear when possible. The t-shirt fit well and shows to be of decent quality. I bought the yellow fabric version. While I cannot tell if it is real wool or not, I can say that after wearing it for hiking outdoors it doesNOT perform as my other wool t-shirts and underwear. When wet from sweat (after medium exertion) it does NOT offer any warmth and takes a long time to dry - it feels more like cotton in this respect. This is why I would not recommend it for serious outdoor use. It is ok for casual wearing.

Soft, comfortable
Product is soft and very comfortable, even when I wore it in summer in UAE. Only drawback is that it is translucent and see through. If that doesn’t bother you then it’s a fantastic product

Decent wool shirt, not excellent
I purchased one of these shirts and shortly after I purchased another one because I liked it. It's a nice, airy 100% wool shirt. Smartwool and others typically (from what little knowledge/experience I have ) seem to do 10 or 11% Nylon to make them more durable. I can't speak to whether that's good or bad.I have washed these shirts twice, once by hand and once in my machine folded neatly and stuffed into a laundry bag. I lay them flat to dry. While wearing each, it felt like one was longer than the other, and sure enough that is indeed the case. One is 27" in length and the other is 28 1/2" in length. They're both mediums and they're both from this product listing. Kindof annoying that there's such a great difference in size. "fit" is more or less the same from one to the other. For around forty bucks, plus the free pair of mid-weight (not great fitting, but decent) socks it's an alright deal. I don't think I'll buy any more from these guys until I see how these shirts hold up over the years. It does seem to be actual wool since after going for objectively intensive walks in the warm weather, these shirts don't stink (even though I do) and they smell like wet sheep when I pull them out of the wash (hand wash or wash bags only).Construction is typical of a t-shirt. ribbing around the back of the collar to reinforce and keep its shape. Single seam at top of shoulder, seams at side. I would prefer a double seam at the top (keeping the very top flat) and side seams to taper inward, as it's more conducive to comfort while carrying a backpack, but that's a more expensive process. These are "casual" shirts, for sure.I may update this as time goes on :)

holes in a new shirt!??!
I purchased two of these back in January, one black and one gray, for some planned extended travel. When they arrived I pulled out the black one and wore it a few times, loved it...just what I expected and desired. Day one of our extended trip I put on the gray one (had a 24 hour 'travel' day) only to find a couple of holes in the front of the shirt, and later realized the holes were lined up with similar holes on the back of the shirt! First time unfolded, and there are 4 holes in the shirt. Love the shirts, but this was very disappointing, especially for the price of the product. I should have inspected them both upon arrival, my bad.

Minus half a star for not machine washable
This is my first Merino wool clothing of any kind. When I read that it works in both cool and warm conditions, I had to try one. I live in Hawaii, so I haven't worn it in cold weather yet, and I've worn these only once, so I can't speak to its durability. The fit and stretch are perfect (I'm of average build), and it just feels good against my skin. Why only four and a half stars? Because it's not machine washable--that would make these perfect. It won't matter when I wear these when I travel, because I wash my clothes in a sink anyway.

Comfortable but not tough.
Comfortable shirt especially in hot conditions. However be careful to not get it snagged. So far I do not think it is as tough as a conventional (cotton) t-shirt. With that said I still had to give it 5 stars.
