I actually didn't do the exact setup that was suggested in the manual. Instead, I have a bolt that connects it directly to the desktop. I wanted a cleaner look, and seeing this is installed on top of a adjustable height standing desk, I didn't want anything hanging off the back of the desk that would rub up against the wall. This is used on my son's desk, where I have a Acer Swift X hooked up to a dock and two monitors on a second pole. It makes for a good productivity setup as my son has been learning to make video games using the Unity engine. The lamp above helps him when he is drawing on the desk as well, but I feel the style of lamp is used for streamers or the like for picture clarity. Overall, this is a very good arm, but I wish they provided a better option for direct mounting it to the desk and not just the clamp mount.

This thing is HEAVY and very sturdy. The light control is touch activated and a bit annoying to get the hang of but it's a great light and the different modes are nice. The laptop stand feels ok but I wouldn't put a lot of weight on it while using the computer. The cord is a decent length, I found it easiest to just plug it into my laptop for power.

This is a really sturdy solution for desk organization. I have a smaller monitor that I wanted to raise up off the desk so I ended up using the VESA mount that this comes with. There’s also a laptop stand as well if that’s what you’d rather use it for. Also, I film a lot of YouTube videos at this desk and I was surprised by how nice the quality of the light is that comes with this setup. It’s a small, circular light that can be rotated to suit your needs. The light is soft and well-diffused. It has a few different color temperature options ranging from cool white to warm white. The base of this light is so solid and sturdy and does seem like you could add extra items like a microphone arm. Overall, this is a great setup for anyone who does gaming, YouTube videos or anyone who just wants a nicer desk space. Highly recommended.

Easy as 123 and done with set up

This device is great it was very easy to assemble and connect to my desk I use it for streaming and it works perfectly and you could also use it for DJ booth it comes with an led light that works via usb and have three different light setting it very sturdy and make with good material everything is build to last and it alway have an monitor mount as well definitely worth it
