This book is invaluable for anyone who loves Jim Lee's art. I watch Jim Lee on You Tube and appreciate his easy art style. He delivers the most complex art work in the shortest time, with ease and a few quick lines. I wish I could draw like Jim does.This book has a superb collection of comic art, from the portfolio of the Master Jim Lee. There are innumerable drawings and powerful sketches of Batman the Dark Knight, the Joker, Wonder Woman and Superman. There are several other comic sketches with short pieces on Jim Lee which provides the reader with an insight into the mind of the artist.This book is a must for every comic book fan and for those who enjoy the comic art of Jim Lee.

Well Jim Lee's name on the cover is enough said to buy this amazing book full of wonderful art prints! Doesn't get any better than this! A+

This cumulation of Jim Lee's impressive contributions to both DC and wild storm is definitely worth spending a few pennies on. Although the art itself is magnificent, the production and presentation of this work is both professional and entertaining to see. I have flicked through this book countless times and always found something that I had not noticed before, or found something else to marvel at. Speaking of marvel however, it is a shame that this book did not include any marvel work. Its just a matter of personal opinion though, but given that Wild storm did not feature a particularly successful series, I think that the space used to display said art would have been used better to provide the reader with an interesting spread devoted to Jim Lee's excellent work at Marvel Comics.All in all, this is a marvellous collection of work and I would highly recommend that you give it your time and money.

I liked Jim Lee's style since I first saw his drawings, so this was a must. Quality images, elegante presentation and a good amount of info and stories of Jim's career. Mainly focused on the best-seller DC trio (Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman), but with about half the book dedicated to other characters and works. Very recommended!

Para quem é fã de Jim Lee, é simplesmente PERFEITO, melhor que esse só o do Alex Ross e do Tood Marcfalane.

Art book muy bueno si te gusta el estilo de Jim Lee

Il y a de la quantité (300p) et de la qualité.L'ouvrage montre bien toute la palette du travail de Jim pour DC et pour Wildstorm (un peu plus ados).Ça reste toujours dans le style particulier des Comics américains, mais il y a une bonne variété des styles graphiques des dessins aux crayons, aux encrages plus traditionnels N&B et couleurs, mais aussi des aquarelles ou autres techniques.Mon seul, petit, regret c'est au vu du talent de l'artiste il ne s'essaye pas plus à d'autres domaines que les super-héros.

Seguramente conoces el trabajo de Jim Lee, de lo contrario no estarías leyendo ésto.Éste es un libro recopilatorio de los trabajos en DC y Wildstorm del autor. Muchos de los dibujos son trabajos a lápiz y bocetos, y muestra el progreso de los dibujos hasta el resultado final. Sí tiene texto, pies de nota y varios datos como fechas y números de la edición en que se publicaron. También algunos tips sobre técnicas empleadas para realizar las obras. Increíble calidad de papel y de impresión. Todos los personajes importantes de DC están aquí, tanto como pin ups y portadas, incluyendo páginas completas de sus comics. El trazo de Jim Lee es super detallado, por lo que puedes volver después de un tiempo y encontrar algo nuevo cada vez.Éste libro salió en 2010, por lo cual después de todos estos años, ya debe haber suficiente material para hacer un Icons II.Lo único que no me agradó, y no depende de la editorial, es el envío. Mi libro llegó en una caja un poco más grande y sin protecciones por lo cual las cuatro esquinas y el lomo estaban golpeados. Toma nota, Amazon.

Poco da ridire su questo volume nel suo complesso,focalizza l'attenzione sull'arte di Jim Lee in riferimento ai personaggi DC e Image, presentando tavole solo a matita, matite e chine, e le versioni finali colorate. Permette di apprezzare al 100% tutti i punti di forza di questo straordinario cartoonist, evidenziandone peraltro anche la versatilità (davvero apprezzabili tutti i lavori in cui Lee stesso si cimenta con le chine o con i colori).Semplicemente stupende le prime 100 pagine, interamente dedicate a Batman.Se proprio si volesse trovare un difetto, ho sofferto come un cane per non poter apprezzare allo stesso modo il lavoro svolto sui supereroi Marvel, ma essendo un'edizione DC Comics ciò era irrealizzabile. Ciononostante, la qualità dell'edizione e la quantità del materiale presente non possono che portare ad una valutazione da 5 stelle.
