I've ordered a few other brands of this type of frame. This one is better built. It feels sturdier, Looks better, and actually is large enough to hold a normal 8X11 piece of paper (some don't).It was easy enough to hang as they even include a paper template. They do not include any screws, nails, or hooks, so you have to do what's best in your situation. I used screws that I had on hand. Also this frame uses glass and not plastic so if you have very young kids that will be using this without help that may be a consideration. If the rule is only adults can change the art it shouldn't matter.After installing this frame I ordered another within minutes. Now we can have art wars. I never will win but it's so fun.

I was so excited to hand them. I took down the three items hanging in the girls room and I was really to hand these very well packaged frames. I had three nails spaced out from the previous items which I thought would be enough. Nope. Someone is gonna have to nail into the horsehair plaster again so that each frame has two nails. This in no way reflects poor quality, just sadness on the customer end. I wish I would have seen that.So as I wait for my husband to find time to put in three more nails, they are barley hanging on the wall and with no pictures as I am afraid to put anymore weight to them. I have collected three piles of art work from the year and hope to display each photo for a week or so once we get going.We ordered them in Gold and I would re order. Next time I might try black. I wish I had these in rose gold.

To me this is an underrated product. It's not just for Kids. Then again, maybe I'm an 88 year old kid. I have purchased 4 frames so far. Three are hanging in my studio. When I am almost finished with a painting that is 8"x10.25" or smaller I put if in one of the frames. I can see if it's finished or needs more work. For the smaller ones I have black paper for background. This product has a 1 month return. My Gold frames arrived 3 months after the Wood ones due to back orders. When I went to hang it It would not hang. The hangers are not movable. They must be 5" apart at the opening and level. The set of hangers I used to measure originally were 5 3/8" apart. Contacted the supplier who suggested I contact Amazon. Amazon was willing to refund the money even though the time had passed. I chose to take a $20 lesson. I'll just measure any more frames as soon as they arrive. Oh yes, if you have friends or relatives who love your work and you work small the frame would be great for ongoing gifts of your art work. The Quality Control is why I only gave it 4 STARS..

Love this frame and concept! However, you are told to tape art to the matte to hold it in place. The whole idea is to make it easy to change, if i tape the artwork it won't take long to destroy the matte. If the frame included cardboard or backing to press the art to the glass it would be 5 stars.
