Picky Papillons Love It
My Papillons (ages 8 and 9) have been the pickiest damn dogs I have ever met. You know when the vet says "they will eat eventually, they won't starve"? Well, no. These damn dogs would starve if they didn't get to eat something they liked. I have been struggling for years to find food that is not made in China, not made from chicken from China even if manufactured in the USA. Finally, I found Halo. I integrated the Halo Spots Stew kibble and the Halo Spot's Stew chicken canned into the Paps diet over 2 weeks. Week one they ate half of the Halo and by the end of week two they were eating ALL of the Halo product and the small amount of the old brand was left in their bowls. Their skin is fantastic, their poops are a perfect consistency (not too hard or too soft) and they are energetic and just happy and excited for meal time now. I also feed them the Halo LiL Bits freeze dried chicken treats. All of the ingredients are from USA and made solely here. And, I am thrilled that my favorite TV talk show host, Ms. Ellen Degeneres is a part owner of the company.Thank you Amazon for offering this here as it is hard to get in my somewhat small town pet stores who seem to cater to gross China food that will make all our dogs sick.

Not good
Been buying this food for a long time but lately it’s been moldy and now all this white spots everywhere. I opened 4 cans from a new case and all like this. Will be contacting for a refund. I am not feeding my dog this. Not sure exactly what it is but I know for sure it’s not supposed to look like this. It’s a shame because it’s been good food for her and now I’ll have to look somewhere else.

My cats think it's okay
Okay, since I had used the cat food filter while shopping, I didn't look closely enough to notice that this was one of their dog food recipes. I don't have a dog, but I don't see anything in the ingredient list suggesting that feeding my cats would be bad, so I am. They'll be okay with it if I don't let them read the label. They seemed to like it well enough. Next time, I'll order the cat recipe, though. What I look for in cat food is meat, poultry, or fish as the number one ingredient and no corn, soy, wheat, gluten, or unnamed byproducts. The ingredients in the Halo Chicken Stew dog food products meet these requirements.I free-feed my cats Blue Buffalo kibble and split one large (5.0 or 5.5 oz) can between them every morning. If they eat that, I'll give them more in the late afternoon. I don't think that's the case with dogs, but cats prefer to get their liquid requirements from their food, so wet food is an important part of their diet.I have two cats (Bubba, age 2, and Ella, age 11), and neither of them noticed that this wasn't cat food. They are pretty picky about their canned food, so I should probably turn the labels around.Don't worry. I am well aware that dietary requirements for a cat are not the same as for a dog, but my cats never eat the same canned food twice in a row. I generally keep at least ten different types of canned food on hand so they don't get bored. Slipping in a can of this once a week isn't going to do them any harm. Next time, I'll order cat food, though; I promise. The first four ingredients of a pet food contain at least 80% of its contents, so let's examine them: chicken broth, chicken, chicken liver, and turkey. That looks pretty good to me. While I usually look for meat, poultry, or fish as the first ingredient, given the importance of liquid in a cat's diet, I'm okay with broth. It seems to improve the flavor, as well, because my cats generally prefer the gravy or stew recipes.

Only dog food I will use
After reading horrible reviews about dog food and with the onset of my puppy having seizures, I made him only home cooked meals specifically for dogs. He was having stomach problems and went through many different recipes always consulting with my Vet, but then I found Halo dog food. My dog eats this and looks for more, his stomach problems have subsided and he's doing very well. This was such a relief due to his seizures and stomach problems and I tried so hard to make him well. He's been on Halo canned chicken Spots Stew now for 2 months and I am so relieved. Now if only I could do something about the seizures, all would be well. However, I give very high recommendations for Halo food. A bit expensive, but worth every penny. I need to add that I know how much Ellen Degeneres loves dogs and put my trust in her advocating Halo food. I'm not sorry. Thanks Ellen. Thanks Amazon for carrying it and offering monthly subscriptions.

You get what you pay for!
I started feeding my four terriers Halo wet and dry food about three years ago and WOW what a difference. We switched from Merrick. They look super healthy, have shiny coats, and have had no health issues. I love that Halo contains fruits and vegetables which have been proven to decrease the risk of cancer. Responsibly sourced ingredients from the USA. You get what you pay for, folks. Spend the extra money on quality food and avoid pricey vet bills. We foster rescue dogs and have never had a problem with picky eaters, either, so it must taste good. You can visibly see the difference in the rescue dogs when they go from eating cheap unhealthy kibble to Halo. I'm so glad I found this brand and highly recommend it.

It's so good that Urban Inspirations makes this product affordable and available in Canada.
This is the only canned dogfood my Pom has ever liked. The service was excellent.
