More available at http://www.competition.kitchen Competition Kitchen is the new deliciously creative party game-- Imagine if you could play "Chopped" at home; but instead of food, you have cards, and instead of pots and pans, you have your words and imagination. Three to seven players compete to emerge as the top chef at the table! Each round, one or more players are the judge, and the rest of the players are chefs. Every chef gathers ingredients from the Protein, Vegetable, and Flavor decks and, after the judge reveals the challenge, they choose which ones to get rid of and which ones to keep. Then, before the chefs can share their creation, the judge unveils the Secret Ingredient that must be incorporated in some way into each dish. After hearing what each chef has prepared, the judge will determine who wins each round. Then, the next player at the table becomes the judge - and at the end, the player with the most challenges won is the champion of Competition Kitchen!

Fun Game But Needs an Expansion Quickly
This game is fun if you play with creative people that can create a story behind the dish that they present. My biggest issue with this game is that they should have included more protein, vegetable and flavor cards. There are a ton of secret ingredient and challenge cards but each round only uses two of each of those cards (draw 2 and discard one of each). If you play with 3 chefs, you use 6 of the flavor, vegetable, and protein cards (draw two each chef and discard one). I really hope they come out with an expansion that includes more ingredient cards and not as many challenge and secret ingredient cards. That would balance things a little bit better. It is a fun game for the foodie type that likes cooking competitions. I also hoe they add some additional weird ingredients in future expansions.

Fun for all ages
This game is so much fun! I have played with other adults on game nights and with my family age range 11-55. This is such a great party game, you will be laughing for hours. The flexibility of the game is great because it allows you to make up rules that work for your group. My friends and I end up with funny accents and elaborate stories when presenting our dishes. Never gets old. Would love an expansion pack!

So much fun!
This game is simple to learn the rules and is a lot of fun to play with the whole family. It's all about imagination and food, so it is easy for anyone to participate. My sister served up salmon sushi sent to space to make it extra cold with a plankton red pepper sauce, haha, sounded delicious. My dad served up ginger zucchini noodles with plankton marinated tuna. It was a tough choice picking a winner. The mystery ingredients really add a lot of fun to the challenges. We found that the most challenging set of cards made the most funny meals. I had to convince the group that the secret ingredient in tomato sauce is nutmeg; told them I learned it from an award winning Nona from Italy.I hope very much that they put out expansion packs with more ingredients. The crazier the better.

Cooking show fans will love this- no need to be a devout card game player to enjoy!
I'm not from a family that has ever been super into card games or board games like some families are- but they all loved it! We have always enjoyed watching shows like Chopped and Cutthroat Kitchen etc together, and have many discussions about what we would do with certain challenges, so I thought this would be a great mess-free way to partake in the challenges. This game perfectly brought it to life in such a fun, hilarious, and enjoyable way! It has potential to be played in dozens of ways, many of which are mentioned in the guide booklet, but the cards and concept are flexible enough that it would be very easy to make up your own variation. I would love to see expansion packs in the future for it, with more ingredients or even blank cards, as they needed shuffled a couple times during a full rotation when playing in a group of 5, but it doesn't negatively affect gameplay at all because of how versatile items are (changing depending on the challenge and secret ingredient). The smaller amount does benefit gameplay due to allowing frequent recycling of common ingredients, and the main game's rules also allow basic pantry items to be added in which expands creative usage. It has potential to be EXTREMELY silly, SUPER competitive, or even just elaborate and whimsical depending on how you decide to play it. I purchased it as a family gift for Christmas and gave it early to play together on my birthday (the 23rd) and it made our day. So many laughs (both gleeful and maniacal) and we all are looking forward to playing again soon. The artwork on the cards themselves is very lovely and each card provides a good explanation of what the ingredient is and what it tastes like. This is especially helpful because some of them are a little bit obscure and not everyone might know off the top of their head what it is (like gochujang sauce, which I personally love but no one else has had). This allows everyone to have a fair shot at incorporating it into their hypothetical dish, and it also opens up for some really fun and enlightening discussion about trying new foods together as a family. None of the cards we were dealt were unusable combos, although some led to really funny and whimsical meal descriptions and backstories (like using vanilla bean paste to flavor a hamburger bun, or each person making up their own food truck concept to add to the story based on the challenge prompt that round). It was really one of the best games I've ever played in a group. If you're a fan of creative cooking competition shows, I highly recommend you get this!

It's fabulous!
This game totally exceeded my expectations. I use it for a small class of teens that I teach. They have come up with some great characters and really used their imaginations with this game. A few who are more serious about food have even given me some ideas for dishes I may never have thought of. Tons of laughs and fun have been had! This is a great game!

Not to shabby...
Not the best game I've ever played, but still enjoyable. Fairly easy to pick up as well.
