Q: How do you deflate the mat?

To deflate the air track all you have to do is open the plug.

Q: Would you say the 13ft mat is suitable for an 8yr old to practice gymnastics (cartwheel, backhand spring, round off backhand spring, etc) on?

My granddaughter uses it she is 9 she does her cocktails round offs if your daughter is just doing in place back handsprings I would say absolutely. My granddaughter can't do back handsprings yet but she does her cartwheels you know backbends round offs she really loves it

Q: How does the pump work?? I have plugged mine in, but it will not turn on.

There is a Red on off button by the handle of the pump. If the pump isn’t working when you turn it on, the pump is no good.
