Up the Creek with a Paddle: Beat MS and All Autoimmune Disorders with Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Easy Read and very Hopeful!
If you have MS, this book is a must. The moment I was diagnosed, I tried one shot, felt horribly sick, and went completely natural after that. For three years I followed the blood type way of eating and only used vitamins, chiropractor, and acupuncture. However, because there is that thing called "stress" in the world, my shakes were getting out of control. I always said if there is any 'drug' I would resort to, it would be LDN...and so I did. Finding a doctor to prescribe it will be your hardest task. You have to find a doctor that is not influenced by the pharmaceutical companies. They do not want us on LDN because it is cheap and doesn't harm your body. I noticed a huge difference with LDN!Read this book! -And buy copies to give to others as you run into them. This book is a great fast read with a very good story to boot. Full of information and answers all of your questions. It will be life changing! I have been on LDN for almost 2 1/2 years and I feel as though it has tricked my body into believing that my myelin sheath belongs to me! It isn't a cure but it is the best possible assurance that your brain will be protected.

A MUST read for anyone who has multiple sclerosis or knows someone with it.
I am a skeptic by nature; therefore, it is not easy to impress me. I am a researcher by profession, therefore, I research everything I read, hear or see, moreover, I cross-search my research findings. That being said let me now tell you that this book gave me hope. If you think that is not very much, consider this: If one does not have hope, NOTHING is possible. Ms. Bradley has done an excellent job. The book is easy to read and gives invaluable information to multiple sclerosis sufferers everywhere. I am an avid reader, but I dare say, this is one of the most important books I have ever read. Well done, Mary Boyle Bradley, and please keep up the good work.

Well worth reading about LDN and how it boosts endorphins and immunity levels.
Reading Up the Creek with a Paddle was a good intro for learning about the positive effects of Low Dose Naltrexone. LDN is safe, legal and inexpensive and my daughters and I began using it immediately to boost our immunity upon receiving the tablets I ordered online. Well worth researching further. Check out YouTube videos, The LDN Research Trust and the LDN blog. So much good info out there.

A Welcomed Story Well Told
Having had MS for over 40 years, I have learned to be skeptical and not buy in to absolute claims for dietary cures and various treatments that may work for a limited few. I try to keep abreast of recent of MS findings, but the use of LDN came out of left field. Had I not noticed a random comment on the Patients Like Me forum, I may have never known about LDN, and the search for information led me to this book. This is the first book I have read that was methodically logical in every regard to a low key, effective treatment for MS. I downloaded the book to my iPad and read it one night. It is well written, engaging, and unabashedly honest about the predicament for testing of promising MS/autoimmune disorder treatments. I found an online video of the author recorded years after the book's last publication confirming her husband was still doing well and she continues to advocate for LDN usage as a standard choice of treatment. I rarely jump on a bandwagon, but here I am applauding the author, her book, and her message. Well done!

LDN
I have Multiple Sclerosis and read almost everything I can find on the subject. I will not try wild and far out (in my mind) CAMs, like bee sting therapy and CCSVI. Since reading this book, I convinced my Neuro to try me on LDN. Not for my MS, but for my lagging energy level. I told him I understood there were no trials with this drug dealing with MS, but since I am SPMS and there are no more therapies for me, and this could not hurt me, why not give it a try. He agreed to a 2 month trial. I have been on It for a week now with no adverse side effects. My daughter noticed my spasms aren't as bad and truly they are not as painful. I had been reading about LDN, but it wasn't until I read this book that I decided I had to convince one of my doctors to allow me a trial. Read it and see what you think. I have recommended it to friends who are suffering with cancer at the moment and those who have finished chemo with good results.

Encouraging read
Such and encouraging story. After reading I started LDN for MS and Fibromyalgia and so far so good. Mary Bradley does a beautiful job sharing her families intimate story as well as getting the word out as there are so many that could be benefiting from LDN. Since I started I have been telling everyone how my brain fog had lifted the first week. Being able to get off of Tysabri and very dangerous MS drug has made me feel so much better.

Totally eye-opening book for those struggling with MS or any Autoimmune Disease. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis about 5 years ago, after two very stressful events in my life at age 69 while living in Ireland. What was most insightful for me was the fact that stress often triggers such diseases as a result of endorphin levels plummeting. Further, Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) appears the most helpful treatment these disorders which, with thanks the the research of Mary Boyle Bradley. The only problem, according to my research, is that it is not as yet, readily available through main-line medicine!

LDN
I read this book ten years ago when low dose naltrexone was barely known about. It was difficult to get mainstream doctors to prescribe. After reading the book, I was much more able to put forward the case for LDN. I’ve been prescribed it now for over 12 years,I believe that it has helped my rheumatoid arthritis. It certainly slowed down the progression.Another big help was stopping dairy (which I am very sensitive to. Also gluten and I cut back sugar) I am in my seventies.

Lovely enlightenment
I was pleasantly surprised by the book's narrative flow. She kept me engaged, she has a gift with words and rhythm. It was informative, full of hope and passion. Thanks for giving all of the time and energy needed to write this book and promote the cause to raise awareness of LDN. I look forward to starting a prescription January 2017. There truly is no good in worrying about things I cannot change and if LDN is as beneficial as it is claimed to be... I'll have fewer things to worry about. Coming from one MS thriver, this one's good to go.

wonderful book
I loved this book and didn't want it to end. I think I must have cried through every chapter. I wish my mother had the chance to try LDN. I feel she would be still here today and not have had to endure all the medications and painful miserable death. It's two years since she died, and the way she died still haunts me.I have had a few immune disorders since my late teens, including Lupus and have been on the immune suppressants and steroids for many years. I feel a lot of my life has slipped by me. I have just started LDN and if it works for me I will not be able to help but spread the word. I have already told a few people about it who I feel will benefit, and a friend is spreading the word also.Although I have a lot of respect for doctors, especially surgeons, I have more respect for the common people who go out of their way to research and help their fellow beings, for no reward, but to see them get the help they need.God bless everyone out there with chronic illness. Stay strong and keep the faith.
