When it came in it was great, one downside to it was it was COATED in wax. I mean beyond the normal ammount of wax. I cured it with oil soap and it got a lot better. But I think a different cleaner would make it more like the real ropes we have. But this is a great item, my kid won't put it down!

The rope is indeed sticky with wax. It took me quite some trials to get the rope to work like pro. Doesn't look like it's good quality. Rope threads gets cutted easily. Don't know how long this is gonna last. Definitely won't but it again nor will I recommend it to anybody. I guess it's because it's a new rope so I have to wear it down a bit to get it to work right. Do not buy this rope no matter whoever told you to in the reviews or the ratings. Just don't. Not worth your money! Better do more research before buying anything! Though, it is a good rope for just starting roping.

I got this rope to practice my skills and it was bad. I will admit I'm not the most experienced however when I showed it to people who were experienced they all said it was bad. Out of the bag it was stiff with wax which I expected however as soon as I tired to stretch it out it was obvious the loop was tangled when made. I tried to fix it but it was useless. I don't recommend what so ever.

I purchased this to secure Alligator Gar once caught. I haven't gone Alligator Gar fishing yet so not practical experience but I think it will work like a charm
