Be aware that it's super hard and if you require a soft pillow, it might be a big adjustment. BUT it's exactly the right height for sleeping on, very supportive, and (imo) comfortable. Most importantly, it WORKS. I went from waking up about 95% of nights with severe pain to waking up 5% of nights with mild pain (because my ear sometimes slips off the hole). Not perfect, but close enough.The zipper on the pillow case is difficult to find; at first I was aggravated that it didn't seem to have a removable case...but it does. You just have to hunt for that very subtly placed zipper. All in all, the quality seems very high.If you can afford it -- because the price is kind of ridiculous, granted -- this is definitely worth trying out. Sleep is important, and I never want to sleep without this pillow again.One suggestion to the manufacturer: better color options would be good. Ugly orangy-beige or lavender...tough call. :/

This most unusual pillow has relieved my right ear problem completely. I only wish there was a cover of some type that came with it. I am not looking forward to removing the buckwheat to wash the cover and trying to get it back inside. It is comfortable even though at first doubted it would be.

I'm a side sleeper and was getting my ears roughed up from the weight of my head at night. Researched various ear relief pillows and took a chance on this one. Showed up well packaged. First nap and over night test results are great - comfy...supports my neck and head while giving relief to my ear. I use CPAP and there was no interference with the CPAP mask. Got an extra hour or sleep - not being woken up at night by ear pain. I'm pleased.

Ear holes too small even for female. Not good if you have dust allergies!

I hated to rate this so low because the company was fabulous and refunded me immediately but the pillow itself could not be used. The quality was great BUT it felt like you were sleeping on a brick. I have had buck wheat pillows before that at least had some flexibility to it. This pillow was so filled that there was absolutely no movement within the pillow itself which made the pillow literally harder then sleeping on a rock

This pillow is, hands down, the absolute best I have ever tried, for reducing neck stiffness and pain, as a side sleeper. I'm a woman with both a very long neck, and shoulders that are big enough to make Atlas look dainty. This is the first pillow that has ever been firm and thick enough to compensate for my neck and shoulders, without being so thick, I wake up with my ear against my shoulder, or so hard, I feel like my ear is going to be as flattened as my high school wrestling coach's. It is quite a bit firmer than the average fiber filled, down, or ever foam pillow, but the ear holes and moldability of the hulls turn it into a custom support for my neck and head that changes with every shift in position, to conform perfectly. The only thing that I am less than thrilled about, is that I recently had a daith piercing, and since I tend to sleep on one side, I have found that the ear holes that do the job when my ear hasn't been treated like a pincushion, just don't quite stay open enough to compensate for my recent abuse to the cartilage of my ear. I still love this pillow, and would recommend it for anyone who wakes up with a stiff neck from side sleeping, it's not going to work miracles and help with piercing recovery.
